Talon NEEDS his silence

Riot wants to remove the silence from Talon as they did with LeBlanc. The difference is that LeBlanc had no counterplay for her silence since she has a blink with a return, a root and a passive that clones her which makes the silence overkill.

Talon on the other hand is an all in champion. If he uses his silence to engage and it goes badly then he wastes his ult for it.

This is a terrible idea Riot. You can't get rid of an integral part of his kit for no reason and replace it with a shitty slow that lasts for 0.25 seconds. He needs it to assassinate his targets. He's not like Zed where he can juke for a year, has gap closers and can haul ass if the situation goes badly.

Please reconsider this awful and unnecessary change to a champion that doesn't need it.

Problem is what does the enemy champ do after getting jumped on? When silenced you can not access any escapes.

What is the counter play on talon?

Zed you can actually get away from him, CC him, attack back ect. This can not be said for talon.

Talon could get buffs to compensate the lack of silence. In his present state talon can not be adjusted at all(except staright nerf).

So you can pick minor change to allow a buff later or just a number nerf. What would you prefer?

I honestly think he could keep the silence if he lost his ridiculous damage. The fact that he can 100/0 you in less than a second won't be helped /much/ by removing the silence. You'll have more wiggle room, but a lot of the people who would have been killed with the silence will likely still be killed without the silence just cuz his damage potential is so huge. A fed talon can knock out a significant portion of a tank's hp with just Rake.

While I disagree he requires a silence to function.

I feel his E's CD should be greatly and I mean greatly decreased in CD in return, that way you could potentially go

E-> Q+W-> R (full duration) -> E in a late game team fight letting him reposition his ultimate for either escape or maximum damage.

Compared to other Assassin mobility, Talon is highly lacking.

I think that if they remove the silence they need to let him use his E on friendly units too, otherwise he cannot trade in lane effectively at all.

LeBlanc 43% Winrate before silence nerf Talon 53% Winrate

Not saying Talon definitively needs a nerf (though he's also getting picked up in comp play nowadays). I do think he should get nerfed though for solo q purposes (same with champs like Panth - at the end of the day, you can't just only consider competitive play).
