How do you play against braum as Tahm kench?

It feels like a matchup where I want to outscale Braum just because of how much better his poke is...my q forces me to stand still while its traveling while he just throws his out and dodge...and if we both trade qs Im the one that gets the shorter end of the stick because he has his ally dash which basically makes him pretty much immune to my slow while Im left with a stack that his adc can proc on me with a few autos....

I`m also having the same issue with Alistar , I manage to land my q on him at max range while he is running after me but he is still able to get into range and dash into me/my adc while slowed because of my self root...and even if I eat my adc out of his knockup he can still land a stun on us because he doesn't need to stop to auto while charging up his trample stacks....

Am I just supposed to not use q when I want to chase / run away from someone and only ever use it for the stun or to quick stack and eat someone? Because I always feel like I am being punished when I land this ability..

I just don't understand why riot would impose such a low skill ceiling...this game isn't all about aiming and landing abilities I want to actually move my champ and not get punished for landing things...its already hard enough to play against champions who have point and clicks/spells that go through minions as is.

I guess I`m just gonna quit my main until riot does something about his crappy skill ceiling … I shouldn't be punished for landing abilities to the point where I am at the mercy of both my teammates and the enemy team.

Try roaming? Those two have "You ain't touching my ADCs booty" levels of peel. Braum's ganks are on par with you, but you have greater roaming potential.

Think beyond laning, maybe cooperate with your jungler for a surprise butt-gank?

If I roam my adc dies because when I see those supports they arnt "peeling" they are playing super aggro and that's what I am having trouble dealing with because I have no way of stopping it besides eating my adc and taking free damage despite me landing my Q

Well, I guess it depends on your ADC. If they're playing someone safe (Cait I guess?) and you tell them to play safe, they might be able to live for three minutes while you get mid a kill.

Hell, maybe your ADC can die for the good of your team. One life for potentially three if your midlane gank goes well and they follow you bot.

You might not be able to win on a micro level, so I'm suggesting you think on a macro level to see where you can get an advantage.

If I couldn't even get my Cait to place traps after eating the enemy support im not getting her to play safe....

And usually the game becomes 4 man bot by the time I get a chance to roam mid with my R....

If your lane has no hope of winning with a dumb ADC, then you might be better off helping someone else anyway.

Max W instead of Q. Tahm's devour does %max hp damage, so just AA braum and eat him. Like wise, force a commit where you removed him from play with your AA + eat, then 2v1 the enemy ADC with your Q up.

Eating braum is impossible because if I slow him with Q he just dashes away...If I get 2 stacks in an attempt to stun him with q instead he dashes away...

Also W does really crappy damage from putting points into it during early game...the only good part about it is the q w poke base damage...the % health damage does less than 2 or 3 of my autos with 3 stacks half of the time....

His dash would still be in your Q range after your auto. Not to mention you force him to burn both his escape and his block with two AA. He isn't meant to be burst down, but slowly chipped away. A Tahm vs Braum lane is more reliant on the ADC to be able to take advantage of the opening. If it was something like Tahm top vs Braum top, Braum would lose 100%.

If I don't auto q auto he will out stack me and I will be stunned 100% of the time because I am fighting his auto q auto and the enemy adc`s auto...

Meaning if I start to beat him in the stack race he will just dash away...
