Just started playing him and thought hew was kinda fun. A little while ago i remember him getting a huge nerf and everyone says they gutted him or something?

he's in a terrible spot for ameteurs and pros, no pro's use him anymore because of the nerfs, it's quite sad actually

He is and has basically always been bad in soloqueue due to his learning curve. He just fell out of competitive, really. If you get good you'll still be fine, just get ready for a long road ahead of you.

He's not as good as he used to be, that's true. But he's still a monster once you master him.

Not with high ping. Fun + powerful (when you learn him) with low ping.

He's decent. Pretty low on the totem pole compared to other mids right now, though, and that's coming from someone with close to 700k mastery points. I honestly only play him because he's really fun to me. His reward isn't worth the effort anymore, though. His range is just insane and he's got one of the best disengages in the game, but that's about it unless you can get 40% CDR and pretty late into the game.

He's viable if you really want to spend weeks getting the hang of it. If he's not a champ that you really, REALLY enjoy though, prepare to be disappointed.

Come to think of it, I do kinda wish they'd give him some buffs of some sort. As another person said here, he's not touched in pros or solo queue much, and at a 44% average win rate (solo queue), I can't blame them. I've got something like a 54% win rate, but that's in low-mid silver.
