What's the point of even purchasing Banshee's Veil?

back in the days used to be one of the prioritized protection item for squishy Assassins & Marksmen. Now with being included into the game, Banshee just feels lackluster to buy at all. So far the only time I get to see this item being built is occasionally for Tanks who needs more MR besides , or non-AD champions like although is still a better item to purchase.

I don't know if Banshee itself is still fine or not, but if it isn't, can we get to see something like an increase to its stats or a cooldown reduction to the spellshield? At least something that can differentiate it better than EoN.
