Can you NOT encourage us to miss cs?

as of patch 5.23 i have been getting coin sounds go off every time a minion dies if i have a gold mastery or support item. it was a mere annoyance at first... until i realized that my CS was plummeting.

positive feedback has an insanely strong impact on the brain. when i quick push a wave and hear a ton of coins dropping into my purse, my brain says "well done, much gold" until i check my CS score and realize i missed most of the farm.

not everyone is going to be effected by this as much. people that are really good at CSing probably wont hurt much because of this. but will it help them? doubtful. could i train myself to ignore the gold sound and keep tabs on my last hitting? sure. but why should i need to tune out a distraction like that?

who does it hurt the most? new players. positive reinforcement for missing CS is going to muddy up intuitive clarity and make that coin sound meaningless when they do last hit correctly .

We agree with your analysis. The "CS sound" playing on Bandit's +1 gold is unintended and should be fixed in 5.24.

yeah I agree that we should not hear the "gold noise" for minions we didn't last hit.

As a support main, I don't like the coin clink. Before, it meant a stray auto or ability had accidentally stolen a CS from whoever I was shadowing, and that I should stop whatever I was doing.

Now it's just jumbled feedback.

The Banditry mastery now no longer tells us if our ADC is missing CS.

That was very important since it lets you determine who is bad and who made you lose lane.

When I play sup, hearing that noise makes me worry that I took a CS from my ADC. And each time its from my gold item or mastery/runes and I keep mistaking it. I just dont want to mistake it for an actual CS cause I fear I'll get yelled at for being a n00b for taking one

You know, I haven't noticed to gold sound but recently I've been feeling super confident about my CS and than looking to see that I am 5-10 behind the enemy. Maybe this is why?

Well if you have the mastery or coin, you're most likely support so the occasions where you're actually trying to CS are pretty rare.

However, what felt cool at first got annoying pretty quick. As a support main, I'm not used to the sha-shing sound every time a minion dies, and in terms of "reinforcement" or "hard-wiring" I always think "fuck!" because I think that tornado or Sona Q just stole a creep - but it didn't.

Now its, "should I cs? or get stuck behind infront of a wall of allied minnions and possibly die or burn flash to get over my own minnions."

this is important for teaching dogs too

Get dangerous game instead, so much better on anyone that kills minions/monsters.

Just mute the sfx or play loud music in the background. Problem solved.
