99 LP and an Idea

That feeling you get when you play rank and win, but only reach 99 LP: [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I propose an idea: how about if you play ranked games and reach between 95 to 99 LP you should be given the option of going into a series for the next rank. HOWEVER if you fall out of series you lose 75% of the LP you had. That drastic drop off of LP would insure they'd need to win more than 1 game to get back to series. Sure they'd probably have that one given win when they get back there but it would force the player to invest more to get back there. Does anyone else like this idea?
