Leaverbuster ideas

Here I am, waiting for a leaverbuster timer to go down, and I have some ideas.

  1. Leaverbuster should not apply to bot games: Why does leaverbuster even happen in bot games? They are BOT GAMES, and the bots also leave when a player afks. So why does this even happen?
  2. The penalty should go down: When I first started league, I left a lot of bot games, and so now everytime I afk, I get a 20 minute leaverbuster. Why do things that happen at the beginning of your league career still apply nearly a year after?
  3. It hurts players, but not trolls: Many people live in an area where wifi is bad, or maybe they are just unlucky and work on the power lines happens, and they disconnect. Maybe they reconnect oh, let's say 10 minutes later. If it wasn't a big problem, (Maybe it happened in the slow part of a game), and the team understands, there should be no penalty for things that are out of our control (Riot's servers, and "attempting to reconnect" of death) just to name a few. But trolls and farming bot accounts, they can just wait, like making another account are being automated, meanwhile players who love the game and were unlucky are forced to wait. Most trolls just run around in fountain, usually avoiding it altogether unless they are reported enough times. 4.We should be able to get penalties removed if the circumstances are forgivable enough: Riot's whole policy fo "we will not remove penalties" is bull. In times like this where tensions between the players and riot are growing, this policy seems to stand out. If it isn't our fault for leaving a game/afking, why are we still getting penalized for it? This is the problem with automated systems, they can screw up, a lot. Just search "Leaverbuster is unfair" on google, and you will find this problem dates back to 2013. It's been five years, and the same problems still happen. Player disconnects for reasons they can't control, and then they get punished. Why does this still happen?
  4. What is reconnecting even worth? Why is there still an option to reconnect, even after 5 minutes of afk, you still get penalized. You should at least get a reduced penalty if you reconnect.

Just my thoughts, still a little tilted because my game froze, and I had to restart my computer, and it started updating, which took like 12 ish minutes for some reason, got back into league, and saw the leaverbuster notification. See you on the rift! (After 20 minutes)[slayer-jinx-unamused]

  1. Bot games are mostly used by beginners. They shouldnt start with the experience of people leaving and shouldnt learn that its ok to leave.
  2. Afaik it goes down. Just takes a long time. Its the same with irl punishments. If you steal something first time you get milder punishments than if you steal something every week.
  3. If your hardware isnt stable, dont play. You ruin the game for 9 other players. Running around in the fountain every though commonly thought to stop leaverbuster, doesnt actually stop it. It looks for differnt stuff like damage doing/taking, cs, etc (afaik)
  4. The leaverbuster has a tolerance for occasional leaves. It doesnt strike on the first leave. If your game keeps crashing try removing the problem first and try it out in customs if everything works. Ofcourse you will find a lot of leaverbuster is unfair. Most people punished will complain about the punishment beeing unfair, even convicted murderers that are evidenced.
  5. To atleast give your team a chance to win everythough the game is already at a disadvantage due to the leave/dc?
