Garens new W.
Not here to complain.
Just had a thought.
What if, as he stacks up the armor and MR, the armor on his Model gets bigger and bulkier?
Maybe, on one of his skins, he could get Helmet bro's helmet when he gets max stacks.

This is cool, and though probably not something feasible for his release, is something that would have been cool to do for him, and others with similar effects. There is little to no communication as to how much Armor/MR a target has in game right now outside of looking at their statline. Contrast this to a unit that stacks Health, where there Healthbar actually visually changes. It would be cool if we could accomplish something similar for Armor/MR.
As a gameplay designer, what would you think about yellow/purple contours to health bars that would get more intense as a target would increase their armor and MR, respectively? This is definitely a question better-suited towards an artist or visual designer, but as a player and tester, would you think this would give clearer feedback as to a champion's resists?
Something like that seems like the best place to start, but as you've noted, an artist or UI expert would be best suited to figuring out the best solution. I especially have no idea what would or would not work when giving consideration to our colorblind folks, for example.
The easiest way would probably be that the current bar reflected max effective health [health/(1-maxResReduction)], and a differently shaded part of that bar would the minimum effective health [health/(1-minResReduction)]. But it would not play very well with shields.
inedible bulk garen when
No no,
Needs bigger shoulderplates.
Essentially you want him to look like a World of Warcraft Character?
