Kassadin Support... Is it possible? Is it viable? Is it trolling? I cant find any information about it and having only silence is definitely not encouraging but THAT vampire skin is so good 🤣
What is his basic damage? High? Low? Mana Problems? How desperately need items?
More answers than I expected... Looks like I will either try Kassadin mid or forget about him (Considering that he is late game and I am in low elo... Forgetting might be a better idea). Thanks for info!
Kassadin is a "Get to 16" champion. In the support role it is a fact that you get much much less EXP. While I will not tell you if this will or won't work, I will tell you some facts about him and the support role and let you decide. As I said previously, Kassadin is a get to 16 champion, and in the support role, most games, you won't get past level 13 - 15. Kassadin is a item heavy champion, Rod of Ages isn't a cheap item. In the support role, you get the least gold on your team. 9/10 you won't get any kills early game. If anything, YOU will get killed early game. You WILL be easily abused by most if not all ADCs or Supports pre-6.
To add to this, I picked up Kass with the release of Cosmic Reaver as a support OTP at the time, it was intimidating getting out of my comfort zone to get a grip on him mid but it was well worth it. If you want to play Kass, you should play him mid, period.

i feel like youd just be opting to play a worse version of Leona. theres no way Kassadin support can work well, he requires gold to function, and doesnt bring any good tools to the lane phase to get him that gold.
if you wanna offmeta him, do it in the jungle where he cant negatively impact a lane, and is still relatively free to farm.

Kassidin support is only really good against ADCs who have to charge up abilities. ( Caitlyn, Tristana. ) Or enemy supports who do the same. ( Lux, Pyke, Rakan W. )
His damage is garbage. The end. No early damaging. It's his CC which makes him viable. His Q can silence the casters, so it's very good in a ability lane. Your E is also a massive slow which is almost always up since you're in a 2 v 2 lane. Skillmax: E -> Q -> W. You also want to focus on tanking rather than dealing damage.

Kassadin is probably one of the most "get ME fed" champions there is out there. He is incredibly reliant on getting a good gold income, to the point that even when taking tp everywhere wasn't meta, tp was a favored pick on him just to get back to lane and resume farming asap rather than the usual ignite. He's a champion that is pretty much useless pre-6 (is there any champion with a rougher laning phase?), but gets really REALLY good with the damage at 16, Kass is THE late game king.
But last time I checked, he's already difficult enough to get going in this meta in the lane he's meant for, so god forbid as a support.
