Better nerf his attack speed - Troll riot-

How do we nerf him in a way that won't change anything~!

This is the 'healthy assassin' they refer to often. Healthy. Assassin.

His ult does very little damage on its own and sure it's increased based on damage done in the ult window but where is the risk to him? If he fails to kill or is at risk of dying to tower he'll just reactivate his ult shadow. Any non-diving Zed will be either using the ult to close on you and can finish you with other skills and basic attacks if you happen to use Zhonya or QSS. You can stop the mark from triggering but you can't make Zed go back to his starting point.

What makes me shake my head in all this is that this is what Riot considers a healthy assassin. When Kassadin gets to this level of reliable murderising (it's now a word) the nerfs come thick and fast. When it's Zed he gets a tiny tap on the wrist (a tiny fraction of 1% AS reduction). It's pretty clear that Riot favour certain champions due to their flashy plays. We have Lee Sin and Zed that seem untouchable in this respect. Akali got hit pretty hard with her E not triggering her mark as well as an ult range reduction. None of that for Zed. Still super safe farming. Still high damage. Still a massive split-push threat with lots of safety.

He actually has a very high attack speed. Add in BotrK and his +25% AD bonus and his basic attack is actually pretty damn terrifying late game, especially with how fast it let him take towers.
