It really is dumb lol, I recently saw a post like this get 200+ thumbs up 2 days ago. AD mids like
so common now. They have better siege, better mobility to roam, better items (cough*
for cheap). From what I recall of the post, it said something about 'mage items costing too much compared to ad mid items, and the power scale on ad mids are quicker because of that. By the time a mid gets 1000 ap, its like having 500 ap because of resists and super tanks with damage reduction.'
Why is support specifically pointed out? AD support can do dmg too, so it should be 5 AD team comp instead !

I remember my first time new Poppy that happened at Aram. I was solo diving with Graves Ashe and Teemo focusing me and still managing to either kill one or take him under 30%hp. Enouph to win the teamfights. Or if i am to exxagerate like most of this thread i was killing all of them! SOLO!
I dont have problem admiting that ad are a bit stronger now(especially Corki is a major offender mostly due to mix damage). But a 4 ad comp is asking for problems.
AP have great assasination options in the hands of Ahri and Leblanc and i am talking top picks here. You can add other in that pool like Fizz or Diana.
No Ad mid will come close to the utility of Ori or Lux. There is a reason why almost all the immigrant supports are from Mid. They have utility. Annie is actually a viable mid.
Top has been mostly bruisers and tanks but lets not forget how many nerfs Lulu took for that (and as a support main i hate i cant play her to her full potential, she was the funniest support to play when released). Ryze is also a choise if you want to have someone with hyperscaling top. And you can protect him. Also Swain can shutdown melee tops better than adcs.
With the exception of Corki, AP dominate the siege game as mid . They are the backbone of any siege comp (mostly for their combination of waveclear, teamfighting and poke) along with a long range bit ADC. Varus comes behind the likes of Lux, Xerath. And no, Yasuo or Zed cant wave clear as safe. Even Victor have it better.
Better teamfight presence for AP mids. I dont think that needs to be explained.
Armor stacking is real. You need one AP champ because if frontline gets 3 armor items you are done for good. Bruisers that have Tabi, Titanic and one armor item can snowball the mid game due to the amount of physical damage they have and can take . Corki ofc is the offender here.
Zhonyans indeed has one of the best actives no matter what and it pays it heavily in price (check out how much Talisman gives for a mini Sivir ult). But it still can avoid a lot damage. Was Maw line a bit too good? Yeap but it got nerfed. Speaking of items, the overall dps of ad items was nerfed with the revamp and almost noone bothered to do the maths. Also i still consider Ludens a major offender. RoA is actually pretty good and is picked a lot.
I am not saying that AP is stronger than AD. Yeah they are a tad weaker. But saying that adcs dominate is a blatant lie. Ap still have options (and many like Anivia were not mentionedand) that was the point of all the above. Massively exaggerating does not lead anywhere. Top sees a huge variety this season from pseudo adcs (Graves and Quinn) to bruisers, light fighters and tanks. Some ap also make appearance there mostly Lulu. Ahri and Leblanc dominate mid(mobility and better late teamfight than their ad counterparts) but we also see other there like classic mages (lux surpassed zed in nerf topics), Corki (shrug) melee ad assasins and Cho "anti-assasin" Gath. Jungle is curious. From farm junglers(yi/shy) to early gangers(elise lee vi) to massive frontliners. Bot is boring. Morde seemed a hopeful attempt but yeah adc dominate there. I would love to see a couple healthy Morde-like champions to have variety. Supports are in the same boring state that i cba mentioning.

Play someone that jumps on them. I've been palying with 3 marksmen and their enemy has khazis and akali. All they had to do is engage at the same time and marksmen collapsed. I'd say 3 assassins + support vs 3 marksmens + support, the assassins would most likely win.
But I love 4 AD team comps...

What do you mean by "4 AD"? Because 4AD comps were always pretty common. An AD toplaner like Darius, Renekton, Jax or Gnar. An AD Mid like Zed, Jayce, or Varus. An AD Jungler like Lee, Reksai, Wukong, or Pantheon. Then an ADC.
If you mean "4adc comps", well you have options. You can play tanks that do well against ADCs (Rammus, Malphite, Taric, Braum). You can play Assassins. You can play AoE mages who can burst out the entire team (Orianna, Lux). Xin, Yi, and Irelia can all splitpush well and 1v1 any ADC.
And let's not forget that if you're one of the champs that gets their tankiness from items like
(like nearly every tank in the game), not only are you passing up on the damage that you could be building, but
makes it so that you take 15% extra damage since marksmen don't build health.
Lets remember this: tanks are the only class that gets diminishing returns on stat purchases of Armor/Mr. and they dont get cheaper as you increase that diminishing return. meanwhile Pen items give increasing returns as a tank tries to get tankier. basically as Ive been saying since s3 Armor pen, particularly % armor pen and armor shred, have ruined this game for anyone that plays tanks. the only solution is to have a rough 150 armor after pen and back that up with a significant amount of health, but wait! %hp damage exists for some reason, some of it unmitigatable! "
" basically, in this meta, if you arent playing a bruiser like, darius or Trundle, a fighter/assassin like yasuo, zed, kha'zix, or an AD like corki, ezreal, you are a fourth class citizen, with support being your backup frontliner half the time and your actual frontliner being a dead sponge after 4 seconds. congrats, you changed nothing!
If it's a problem you should at least try to explain why...
