After switching to DotA for a week, I have an idea...

Right now a lot of the complaints about preseason have been focused on how snowbally and short matches have become, and whether you like or dislike the changes, they're undeniable. I personally prefer a more strategic game pace since my background prior to league was in turn based RPGs and RTS games, but not everyone does, so it's important to have variety.

In DotA, they have a standard mode where games last between 40 and 50 minutes on average, but they also have a "Turbo" mode, where gold gains from all sources are accelerated and towers and buildings have decreased health.

So this is where my idea comes in: Why not create a "Strategic pace" mode for SR where kills, towers, minions, etc. give reduced gold, and towers have 25% increased health. This way people who are looking for a guaranteed longer game can play what they'd enjoy without creating a slower game pace for everyone who prefers it short. It would only exist as an alternate mode like a secondary normal draft queue (no need for an extra ranked ladder), and wouldn't need much if any extra balancing since nothing about the champs or the items changes, just the pace at which things play out.

Splits the userbase. That increases queue times.

If goldflow was the only issue that would work, but it isnt. I'm not opposed to have a fastpaced 'turbo' mode and a more slow paced 'strategic' mode, but there are alot more issues that need to be adressed for that other than just goldflow and strukture health.

Back in S4(if i recall corectly it was at some point in S4 when they slowly but surely decided to decrease gametimes for some reason) one could easily have created a turbo mode with faster gold gain and weaker struktures for that purpose and everything would have been fine, but by now to much shitty decisions happened.
