Well it seems the leblanc community hated that her Q alone did no damage at all. So I think the Q buff in exchange of W is fine. As a leblanc main, a magician going full-rugby style tackle was plain-ass wierd anyways. Im playing a magician, not a NFL jock with abyssals takiness running down the enemy.

Well but the halved damage on W will not kill champions, and you know that's what LeBlanc is supposed to do.

tbf a good leblanc uses W for juking half the time so it's not nearly as big as a nerf as it seems. It's still a big nerf, but not gamebreakingly huge.

I bet it will be bigger than expected. She's losing a lot of damage on a basic ability which is her primary source of damage since it's literally impossible to proc her mark without using it, either as a gap closer or just to hit people. Edit: almost forgot! They want LB to max Q so it will be on a 18 seconds cd without cdr until level 12!

Yes, but I mean... If she only uses W as a gap closer, she will probably kill no one since her Q R isn't enough if you aren't ahead of 10 kills.

She's losing over half of the damage on her W. She uses W for Juking half the time you're right, but now you will need to land TWO W's to get back the same damage. That's actually insane. But imo, very, very warranted.

Her W is a big part of her wave-clear, and a major reason as to why she is currently so OP. She's using her W to kill Caster minions and then Q to finish off the others. For a majority of other Mages and Assassin the process involves lowering the minions and the finishing them off with AA's.

because zed cant w q e casters to death, and viktor cant like one shot a wave with e or anything, and xerath cant one shot casters either. there are so many champs who can wave clear the same as current lb and lots better than she is able to. you are just looking for excuses which dont exist to justify these nerfs

The difference lies in their kits. Viktor's kit is a lot more telegraphed and easier to predict. Zed's damage combo requires a lot more work then Leblanc's does, not to mention his lane trading is significantly more limited. Xerath is an AP Utility mage, not an assassin. You have no idea what you're on about. It's not just the wave clear, it's about her trading pattern in lane coupled with the extreme wave-clear.

The nerfs are justified, albeit they have loaded on another batch now, that might be a little bit extreme. There are plenty of reasons why Leblanc needs to be nerfed, if you can't see them you're just not educated enough about the current state of the champion and the game around her.

Yes, but like I said in another post, since riot wants you to max Q first, your W will be on a disgustingly high cooldown until you get some cdr. And proccing sigil without it it's almost impossible before 6. And even after 6, using W for damage won't be worth it anymore because you would lose a lot of safety.

idk what zImaginaerum is talking about popping sigil without W being impossible. Must never play LB, but you use W to proc sigil, Q or E to pop it

good point on the W cool down though.

It's not that its easy, it's that it used to be her only risky ability and the good damge forced her to actually go in.

Now she'll just wave clear with Q and still kill you with E and Q, with her W now being just a reposition skill.

I tried to go hunt down the passive value change that I saw the other day and couldn't find it. There was a huge passive damage buff that pretty much meant it held all of Leblanc's powerbudget, at the expanse of her actual spells dealing basically no damage. I don't know where that went...

Yeah, that true. Like think as these 2 chains as two tactical warheads. As long as we have these she will stay as she is as a assassin. These nerfs are justfied and is OK. But chains needs some nerfs in some way and her power budget moved into another place ASIDE from her passive.

I bet riot would prevent another kogmaw by loading everything into one skill so I think in the end we will have a kite/burst/assassin that we want that needs skill and not luck on landing a chain.

S6 Kog's problem was his unique interaction with the rest of the game systems (specifically on-hit masteries and items). I mean, there are other champs where the majority of their kit's power is on one spell (Blitz Q, Zac E off the top of my head).

I'm also of the opinion that landing a chain requires more skill than luck, but that's separate.

^^^^ Only champions I really play(ed(in Shen's case)), LB was just the last straw in a long line of miserable reworks. At least Kat's is nice, but I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up gutted soon.

I simply don't understand why make this change at all.

This way she has literally no reason to use her W to attack, the new kit balance encourage her to play even more safe and now she has even more point and click damage.

As a LeBlanc main, even though the nerf to her W is huge, it's not gonna affect her a whole lot. Most of LeBlanc's damage comes from her E, which makes her W good for Gap-Closing.

Kind of funny that soon as i was attracted back to getting back to playing League more actively again, they decide todo a few tweaks i wanted for so long, aka Le'blanc getting a hard nerf. Considering she has a super easy way for big damage before the rework and now it spiked to ridiculous levels after the 'rework' it made me think they were going to have her stand alongside Syndra as part of the 'Mage Yasuo'ish characters of mid lane. Namely AP characters that had so much power boom and next to no downsides to it.

Really when you consider she can use her W as a directional jump(cough retarded easy wall jump champions cough) and jump back, if she unloaded all her abilities at once she could have around 5 to 6 damage procs between her Passive(maybe 2 if we consider 'timing'), Q, W, twice from E and her R lets her double up so she could do another E in the process. Plus unlike a few other champions, she might as well have like plenty of other champions, get so much power and little drawback to it.

Still not liking how Bard got a 'buff' when he's the screw around support with his global huge Zhonyas on anything in a large target area and easy to get away Magical Journey to just bait you into his Q wall stun with empowered autos that let him be a nasty strong support in terms of middle fingering you if you chase him. Still, least hopefully as they fix things like the 'Tanks', they can eventually get around to making plenty of 'old' champions get caught up on the 'tier of power' that champions need to be up to even be considered viable, otherwise they are just white knighted or have some ridiculously small niches that make them somewhat work.

The problem with LB is that her Q literally does nothing right now, while her W-E trades are easy to do, rewarding, and offer not a lot of counterplay. Now u won't have to hit the distortion in order to expect good damage.

It LOOKS like a nerf, but if may just FEEL like a buff...

Tank LeBlanc is extremely powerful. Her Q is useless and only good for activating her passive. W is her escape and E is her main source of damage and CC. I always try to land my E and once it's landed I land another with her ult. I like to give my team the opportunity to attack. Afterwards you can use Q/W for additional damage or you can W out after a Q. She's strong because she's got the kit of an assassin but doesn't have to be an assassin. She's a CC bot and escape artist.
