Can we please stop the adc in 2017 meme please? I know some people find it funny but it sucks to go play a game work your ass off get an S as Quinn bot to get her level 7 and the first thing someone says is no congratulations no you see "lel adc in 2017 the enemy must have sucked for you to get an S" its really frustrating specially as someone who normally doesnt play adc cause I suck at CSing alot.

Current ADC take too long to power up and their itemization often leave them open to being oneshot in under 1,5-3 seconds by something like a Vi or hecarim with 1-2 damage items. Or just a mage with enough items at any point in the game. Or an assassin. Or a assassin building 1-3 damage items and then tank like current rengar's and kha6 do a lot.
Really you should never have been able to succeed as Quinn bot in the current state of the game, i am not joking. Only way it's possible would indeed be that you were vastly superior in skill compared to your opponents. Which is exactly what i did yesterday picking Quinn jungle while playing with some lower elo Friends in flex que just for the heck of it.
So it's not a joke . "ADC in 2k17 lul" is satire and the only funny thing is how sad the situation is.

Quinn doesn't counter adc's at all. She's a good toplaner because she's very good in a solo matchup against a melee guy because of her natural range advantage, good base damage and powerful kite. She's somewhat decent in a range vs range solo matchup because she has good assassination/burst. But she's borderline garbage in botlane since she has meh range and no good tools to 2v2. Also pretty bad at teamfighting.

Yes I'm serious. We're talking about her kit here, not her base numbers. In your link, you can see that Quinn holds the second lowest winrate for botlane at 51.18% (just after jungle at 49.94%) while her winrate in toplane is as high as 55.47% If Quinn is outright overpowered, which seeing her winrate could very well be true; explaining why she has more than 50% winrate bot while still having +4% winrate in other sololanes , it doesn't change the fact her kit is more adapted to sololane than to duolane. And the numbers correlate that.
But I guess I didn't say it right. I said she was garbage at botlane when she actually has a decent winrate bot. I'd say her kit is bad for botlane, but I guess her numbers are (too?) good.

kagepaladin1 votesonly marksman quinn doesnt semi counter is caitlyn, varus, miss fortune, corki, ziggs and lucian aka caster-carries or champs that can outrange her, if quinn can get close enough she can deal alot of damage to a varus/mf/caitlyn but you also gotta be wary of alot of things, primarily mf make it rain and ult, varus ult and caitlyn's traps.

It's the constant changing to the game that usually revolves around early game snowballing and gang banging bot for first turret blood gold because it's technically weaker and quickest to take. Plenty of Marksman are late game champs which makes the early game focus part shitty for them. They usually have to scale with CS and objectives unless getting fed early which is more difficult because of the giant target the jungler sees bot lane due to tower changes. The meta might be giving them a hard time but they are not any weaker than they were before.

ADC takes the same time as usual to power up while everyone else are aiming at 1-2 item power spikes. Naturally the snowballs are heavy.
And so a role that aims for the lategame will naturally struggle when the game ends before they have even competed their core items because someone else snowballed extremely hard or they just got shutdown extremely hard by the so called "4 man ganks" that are easy to pull of since the ADC is so weak early compared to others.
