Swearing on Boards

Could we all try not to swear because yeah you may be mad but if you go immediately onto the boards after getting stomped by insert champion name here and come on to the boards and start complaining, whining or swearing. Frankly to me it makes you seem very immature and you could just as easily get your point across without the need to swear. This would also make it feel like a much more better community response for people to know that their is actually nice people in the game and we're all just not people who just like swearing at eachother.

Sensible much?

Someone can be just as mean without swearing as they can be with swearing, more so actually. I would rather someone tell me something I said is "bullshit" rather than someone saying "kill youself" which people do say way more than you would expect in this game.

I swear, but I try to do it sparingly. For instance, I'll say that the Orianna freeweek was bullshit (and it was... let's all be honest, now.), but I won't turn into Tryndamere on the boards. That's just rude.

Unless it's swearing in a happy way, then that should be okay.

My mentality is that swearing is essentially a meaningless construct when viewed in a vacuum. What I mean by this is that swearing is part of an idea by its very nature; it's the idea that is usually immature or aggressive, not necessarily the language used to convey it.

I totally agree that points can (and probably should, in many scenarios) be made without swearing, but it's not the cursing that inherently makes the communication problematic.

fuck it. if we werent meant to swear on here we wouldn't have had the swear filter lifted. Don't be such a pancake about the whole thing, and learn to chillax.
