Would Taric see more play if his passive stacked

Even if it was just up to 2? I mean, part of the problem is to get the maximum damage out of Taric, you have to stun, walk up, auto, ult, auto, shatter, auto. Normally, by the second auto, or even right after the first while you're trying to shatter, they're already walking away. If it still needs some help, he could just use all (and by all I currently mean 2) charges of his passive on his next attack.

Cool idea but im afraid that this change will put him into gem-terror-of-top-lane state... Want this :D.

tarik would see more play if his as were higher to better utilize the passive and if he had any tools to actually get in AA range. If you fail to reach your target after the stun, your usless for quite some time as your cds are massive.

A generall cd-reduction bound to melee AAs is simply a failed design anyway. There is so incredible much discrepancy between best and worst case.

Its his ultimate thats the problem most supports have game changing ultimates while his is all useless.

To tell the true I would like if he got a new passive all together. I play him as support all was. So it is really hard to aa any one.Cant do it to the minions as well in fear of getting poke or stealing. So to me it is sort of useless.

He attacks so slowly...And as melee, it's hard enough to attack at all.

I didn't know taric had a passive. The only thing I ever see is that dazzle.

Yeah, it does a percentage of his armor as damage and reduces the CD on his abilities by 2 seconds.

I don't know, man. It can already do a LOOOOOT of damage late game with a full skill rotation + what cools down with the rest of his passive. It's not a bad passive, really, you just have to be in melee range for too long to get the most out of it.

thats exactly why cd-reduction on melee-AAsdoesn't work. If Taric is allowed to get his rotation done, he can nearly permastun while inflicting massive damage and beeing kinda immortal if he has max cdr, but since he needs to get into melee range while only having his dazzle as sort off gapcloser is incredible hard, and if he can't follow it up with his rotation he will have a huge cd, beeing usless for a quite long time.

Similar with xin. If he gets you and lands all 3 Qs, he not only deals high damage and the knockup, he also reduces his cds, allowing him to keep his W perma up and use his charge nealry the moment his knockup ends, makeing it really hard to escape.

However, if you manage to get out of range after his E befor he can land the Qs, you not only deny alot damage and the cc, but he will also be left with nearly twice the cd on his gapcloser, makeing him damn vulnerable for kiteing.

Those cd-refresh on melee hit mechancs just snowball hard in both directions, makeing the best case even better and the worst case even worse....

It would work perfectly as a PVE mechanic. You can get 100% of your potential damage off on neutral mobs as is, why not focus on that? Let Taric jungle. The notion is even consistent with your Xin comparison since he's more often a jungler than laner now.

Sire Hippington1 votes

the problem is that junglers also have alot pvp. unless the cdr-reduction works only vs jungle mops(in which case one would woder why it'S even their), there would still be the potential of a best-case vs other players, which has to be consdiered for the overall balance.

Idk, i feel like Taric is strong as fuck right now as is. Very underrated support.

I too feel he's underrated, but there's no doubt that he is a little weak. The problem is, he's a melee support built around burst with a dps passive. I mean, one thing is he might as well not have the passive, cause if you don't auto-attack between each spell you're wasting it, but if you don't use your spells all at once, the stun just doesn't last long enough (and it shouldn't for a point and click) for you to get your full damage rotation off.
