Can confirm this. Ping went up 130% for Saskatchewan players on Sasktel internet (one of the ISPs they "partnered" with).

Went from 31 ping to 71 ping, and watched bots rubberband around the screen twice in 9 mins. Not cool.

wow 71 ping must be harsh. I'm probably challenjour level now since i played with 110 ping for 3 years, and now i have 50!!!! Sike. I barely notice the difference.

That sounds more like packet loss than a ping issue.

Seriously, even at 130 ping pre-server move, the delay is literally SO small; that I can't notice anything with my eyes. Usually I don't start to have any noticable delay until around 150-ish ping (as in, I can click somewhere and it won't instantly preform the action I asked it to at that point; whereas at 130 and below it does it so quickly I can't notice any delay)

anything around 100 it's definitely noticeable and affects my gameplay

1000 miliseconds is a second. Meaning 100 ping is a 100ms delay, this mean 1/10 of a second.

People EVERYWHERE ELSE in north america averaged 70+ ping before and all those people played just fine before, I am so sorry that everyone else getting a benefit somehow destroyed the game for you by putting you in the average players shoes.

Lol at over 100 the delay is so painful it can't stand it, feels like a turn based RPG. It's really strange that you don't notice it, it's over a tenth of a second. But since the move I have 27 ping, not 120+.

That isn't your ping lol 71 ping wouldn't do that. That means you have terrible packet loss issues, etc. I've played on 110 for ...years, and I have never once had that happen even with the East Coast packet loss (which was the real issue not the high ping).

That and bots wouldn't rubberband around, as that has nothing to do with your connection or your pc. You would be the only person rubberbanding if anything, like when it happens in mmos when someone has a bad connection.

The point is that instead of creating an east coast server, they just moved the server to the east coast, they didn't even bother trying to find a more centralized area.

"They moved the server to the East Coast"

  • looks at map and realizes Chicago is CST and considered in the middle of the US "They didn't even bother trying to find a more centralized area."
  • Riot posts their reasoning for Chicago as the only place in the middle of the US that had the infrastructure for a server like this

Yea...you did not pay attention to anything at all. Though, the only thing I do agree with you on is making an EC server. Everything else you said is just uninformed stuff.

Bro seriously? Do you even know where chicago is? Its in the freaking middle of the country or rather close to it. Chicago isnt east coast its central. Chicago has some of the best connections to the rest of the country. If youre having a shitty ping you either live in hawaii/alaska or offshores, or you have a bad isp. A lot of west coast providers are pretty crappy. The one i hate the moat is brighthouse.
