Sona's place in league of legends

Honestly right now I think has a rather difficult identity problem on the rift. Riot does their to treat as a "support" with the her own unique utility. Right now as I see it riot keeps nerving her ap ratios because she does too much dmg. But the thing is the main point so her kit and what makes her viable is the damage part of her kit (q and blue power cord) with the e and w being more complementary. Riot wants people to W and E but the problem w is the huge mana cost on it. To even try to spam it will run you oom with a matter of seconds. E is just a speed of and just that. But all these make easier for sons to poke/deal a max dmg output. Maybe riot should treat sona like a mage moreover a support.
