Disabling new champions for 2 weeks After release in Ranked

Hate to sound Snarky but seriously, it's about to be season 5 and still you haven't done any thing about New release champions still being picked the day of release in ranked games.

Honestly i do get tired of having to waste a ban on new champion because you know some tard is going to insta lock them the moment they get a chance. so Please can we have a red comment on this, for why this hasn't been dealt with or even considered yet for ranked play?

I mean, If a new champion is release you should go try it out in normals or bots. not in Ranked.

Playing champs on PBE is a thing. I'm sure people comfortable enough to pick Kalista in ranked have knowledge of her from PBE. Besides, if the enemy team picks a new champ and fails epicly that's a free win for you, why are you complaining?

Not EVERYONE has PBE access, that's an unfair advantage for those of us that A) don't know how to play the champ, B) Don't know how to play against the champ, and C) not everyone picks a champion because they "have experience". I predict that MANY a people will go "omg that Kalista dash is going to be OP as SL;KJEDF;ALKSJDF;LKJAsed;tflgkj;SELDKJGF;alskdjfg;lkaSJDF;GLKjsd;flkj" and instalock her just for that.

Kalista isn't even that bad compared to some release champs. I understand what you're getting at but you've got 3 bans for a reason. Besides, the patch just dropped, there's lag everywhere, servers on fire, and you want to play ranked? Geeze. I'd give it at least a week before I set foot in that place again.

Trist and Yas are some of the lowest winrate champs atm. I'd rather ban Yas for my team not to pick than to play versus. Gnar isn't played as often around my elo so I don't mind him. Morg isn't ban worthy, Mao is just a good tank. Lee is only good if you're diamond. So that leaves Fizz, Blitz, and Akali. I'd ban a new champ over Akali, honestly. She doesn't have stupid mobility/escapes like Fizz and in all honesty Kha is more ban worthy than Akali anyways.

not all the champions on my list are bans because I think they're OP... as you said with Yas... some of them are so I don't get them on my team... my point still stands.

As for Gnar not being played often around your elo, I love playing Gnar. :D I'd still ban him if I was purple side though. >.>

Yea got some troll comments, but meh expected.

None the less, I have no issues, with some one picking a new champion if they were comfortable with them. But honestly we all know that's it often not the case. In ranked its usually, Captain bans the normal bans for that time. Then Insta locks the new champion who was just released.

Claims they are pro and played with them the entire time on Test realm.

Goes 0-10, Blames the support or jungle depending on what lane the new champion is in Then AFKs/Rage quits.

I just don't get why riot hasn't made it so New champions can not be played in ranked at least 2 weeks after their release.
