So everyone hates Zyra? Why?

I thought it was just in my head until my team confirmed it just now. I am relatively new to league, however, I usually get an S- or higher in matches, as Zyra. I have all my mastery 7 tokens ( just need the blue essence ) and I think I'm pretty good with her. I CC out with wazoo, time my ults right, and poke a lot. But it seems that no matter what, in any game I play, no matter how great I do, no one honors me or gives me any credit. Like none whatsoever. So I finally asked my team in the match chat after we won just now, and asked what the deal was and if people hated Zyra, and they said yes that she's "ez" requires no skill, and they don't respect her as a champ. Meanwhile, I'm scratching my head over here because she's been nerfed to the ground relentlessly over the last 9 months. So why all the Zyra hate? I'm really discouraged now.
