AP assassins dont need "compensation" for the removal of DFG

What people are calling compensation are really just buffs. More stats to "replace" and item that they might not get, or might be prevented from getting for a long period of time.

Champs like Veigar and Leblanc dont need more damage added to their kit because an item was removed from the game. It amounts to a pure buff for those who dont want the item, or are shut down hard enough to make it an impractical purchase.

Another item needs to be made available in place of DFG that favors bursty champs like this, but doesnt have whatever problem Riot thinks DFG has. Otherwise youre just flat out giving certain champs wads of gold in place of a purchase they havent made.

Graves, Corkie and Lucian will probably be fine with this, Ashe, Cait and Trist will absolutely hate the change. Removing IE would only serve to make the already strong caster carries more dominant.

Its not the lose of DFG its the lose of 120 AP item, if they dont introduce something to replace it, it will be just worse to play a AP burst assassin.

This is a very fair point to make. They honestly could have just temporarily reduced it's bonus until they could formulate a better approach. But to be fair it is a good "ballsy" move on thier part to take some power away from some pretty dominant AP assassins. That being said however some forms of "compensation" ended up just being silly nerfs, which makes no sense and isnt ballsy but rather stupid.

they should keep it without the active. cdr and 120 ap are pretty useful by itself.

You're right, they should remove one of the good AP items without compensation. No buffs needed. By this logic, they can remove Zhonya's without compensation. And Rabadon's. And Will of the Ancients. And Abyssal Scepter. And Liandris. And morello. And, oops, no one is using mages anymore? Time to buff AD mids. I guess AP mids are just not supposed to exist.

You see, you can't remove an item without compensation. If you could, you could remove all the items without compensation and then the game is obviously way unbalanced.
