This Isn't a Question of Balance but.............

So let's talk about Varus for a second. I love him. I feel like he is in a... decent place. He isn't particularly strong as far as the meta is concerned and he isn't the weakest of picks. I'm more or less curious about what your thoughts for the future of this champion is. He's been really quiet as far as champion and gameplay changes go. Call me bias but i think the blight archer could use a little love. Is he on some distant list for a rework? (not too important, just curious.) And when the lore event for Ionea comes into action, will he have any interaction with Riven ? I suppose these arent too important questions. Also, what do you think of the viability of ap varus? I personally see a lot of success with him in lane and beyond.

AD caster Varus can do like 700 damage nukes on a 7 second cd with almost 50 - 50% armorpen late game. AP Varus can blow up tanks with blight very easily late game and lock a team that decides to fight in a narrow space. The future of Varus is up to the community. If the majority of the playerbase gets bored with him, they'll start demanding reworks and it'll happen.

I think he's incredibly annoying in ARAM when he spams Q. :D Not bad in URF too.

Unlike Jayce his Q actually penetrates blockers. Very annoying, even if the damage falls off.

Unlike AP poke, item 3105 + upgrades stands little chance versus AD poke in a close-knit team fight like on URF. I'm not sure a counter.

Just my opinion and I could be wrong.

Varus needs some QoL and probably and one of them could be a more reliable steroid which doesn't need minions to be around.
