As a Varus main, I have a question.

Varus was, is, and likely always will be my favorite champion, despite a bit of a love hate relationship surrounding his lore, which is a separate issue that is neither here nor there. I had a specific question more recently surrounding a certain aspect of his kit, and if it was intentional or not. His W, Blighted Quiver. Essentially, stacks blight that pops for a % of max hp scaling with the number of stacks capping at 3 and whatever, we all know about it. But I learned that it has unprecedented strength on it's active, as a fully charged Q (the arrow does missing %hp damage increasingly as the ability is charged) with 3 stacks of blight out damages smite at every level of the game without exception. Granted this may be because I build AD/crit rather than on-hit so his Q does more, but I am doubtful.

I just think that this built in power, especially as season 10 is looking to revolve around dragon control so heavily, makes Varus easy to abuse, especially with a bully support and priority in the bottom side of the map. Hell, even now in games I am able to call for dragon plays that should be way too risky because I know that no jungler, not even my own, can steal the objective, and as balanced as I believe the champion is, I can't say with a good conscience that this specific interaction is balanced.

Before I get too repetitive, I was just wondering if this was a balance oversight, or an intentional corner to Varus's gameplay to increase the value of drafting the oft times less desirable Varus into your composition, and what anyone else's thoughts were on the matter, if they have any thoughts.

This game isn't meant to be balanced.

Enjoy whatever strengths Varus has, Riot will balance as they see fit. It isn't about conscience, everything else in this game is broken as fuck too.

I've always liked Varus, I think his cooldowns are a bit long, but his kit allows him to be very diverse in which path he takes in builds, a claim very few other champions can claim.
