I missed the Cassiopeia Thread

I have to say this stuff. I'm too upset not too. Riot destroyed Cass. She used to be viable, and do damage, and be in any way good. Now she just isn't. Pre Update: Land your full combo+stun = They die Land full combo+stun on whole/half of the enemy team = Triple/Quadra/Penta! And this wasn't easy. You had to time it, and wait through the ludicrous cast time (Which is a huge problem I have) and land like, 2 Qs that were sitting in your W. It requires the same amount of skill Post Update: Land your full combo+stun = They might die. You probably died before they did. Land your full combo+stun whole/half of the enemy team = Almost nothing happens. At most, you may kill the squishiest person. But this raises more problems than it solves. You may have killed one person, but you are standing in range of every attack from every person on their team. Ergo, you're dead, and you accomplished nothing. Your AoE on Q, sucks now, and does no damage, along with the fact that you will never land it in lane because of the delay and the short as balls range. Your W, was never really strong in the first place, and didn't do much anyway. Your E: Now the strongest ability Cass has. And it makes her: A better sustain mage than DoT mage; a better Single Target mage than AoE mage; a better burst mage than poison/DoT mage. It is the only reason you may have killed someone. Your ult has stayed the same, maybe with better or worse scaling and base damage. Your passive would be better if you Q and W mattered at all in lane. It would honestly be op if her other abilities didn't fall flat. Because it revolves around poison that you either won't land, or you'll do pitiful damage with. (A side note, I missed the Thread about Cass, because they didn't tell anyone they were doing it). All I want from Riot right now, is a less stupid delay on her Q and Ult, both of which are hard to land successfully anyway, so why make it more difficult? Her E and Passive can stay the same, they are both great parts of a kit that is only half baked. Better base damage or scaling on her Q, along with increased range. I honestly don't know how they could improve W, it was always insignificant. Maybe these changes would make her TOO strong. I wouldn't doubt it, seeing as I don't work for Riot, and only know as much as a player could about balance. Also, that "Corrosive Fang" thing they mentioned on the thread, would do nicely too. End Rant. Sadness for Cassiopeia

If you can land your stun and drop a poison on someone and they dont die, its either very early in the game and so you have no items, which was literally the goal of the remake, to make her a late game ap carry

or you have no idea of how to actually constantly use your new e to chunk them down in 3 or 4 fangs with the exception of heavy tanks. and even then you could in maybe 5-7.

yes her passive is important and if you arent aware of how to get those stacks early, you will not get the full benefit from her and you will seem weak. do not try and poke in early game to kill in fights, you just drop a q or w on them, and go back to killing poisoned minions with your e.

by bringing back more damage and further range on your q, you just brought back what they tried to take away intentionally. making cassiopeia a stupid lane bully that also scaled good into the late game, except now she scales even better with the potential to reach 1k+ ap instead of the maybe ~600ish she could reach before.

I've been playing around with her and I think she is balanced. I don't think she is bad. I do think, however, that she is a new champion and is unrelated to the old Cassiopeia.

Cassiopeia got the Karma treatment. New Cassiopeia, like new Karma, is balanced. However, New Cassiopeia is a different champion than the old Cassiopeia.

Note: I haven't had enough games to say this for sure. But, I think the main approach is to farm with Twin Fangs and not worry about farming up the passive. At 75 stacks, you should be in a fine position for the early mid-game. I found this was enough for trades and for the lane.

Also, you have to be careful how you use your poison during a trade or team fight. I never use both poisons at once. I need my Q if I miss W so that I still get the resets on Twin Fang. Or, I open Q if I think I will have a better chance to W more people later on in the fight.
