Malzahar - used to be midlane mage - mage rework - become most viable support for over half the year Rengar - used to be an assasin - assasin rework - is now a toplane bruiser Maokai - use to be unstoppable tank monster frontline -** tank** rework - sits in bush with full ap

Im starting to see a trend that when people despise champions so much, riot tends to rework them to drive them away from their original style of play. As much as i appreciate rerworks to champions who need them, the smaller mid seasonal changes at times appear rushed, and can really upset player bases attatched to those champions, particularly with rengar. Not taking anything away from the people working on these champions i apprecaite your effort, however i feel like to create successful champions, you need full VGPU like Galio and Yorik, as oppose to minor changes like Rengar and Maokai
