So, why isn't tricksters glass a real item?

Trickster's Glass

Trickster's Glass is an amazing item and in this topic, i will explain why. Do you remember season 2? No? Let me tell you, season 2 was the best this game has ever been. League started out as a MOBA that was almost MADE for people that hate the MOBA genre as a whole. It played and pseudo-continues to play like a different game. The playstyle, the champs, the mechanics, they were all centered around being distinguished from other MOBAs. As the game now is one of the most widely played, most competitive games in the world, obviously you have to conform a little bit. Make compromises that make the game a bit more consistent and easier to take seriously. Trickster's Glass is the icon of LoL. It represents an element of league i feel we've strayed too far from. An element that should make a return with this form. Trickster's Glass I feel is the build option you should be able to have. If you want? You should be able to troll people with tricksters glass. Or if you'd rather, make crazy dupe plays. Please riot, please bring this item back.

Disclaimer, i am aware tricksters glass wasn't in season 2. Got lazy halfway through and lost inspiration. Regardless, this item is sick. Can we agree on that?

It will be way too broken to be real

i think tricksters glass effect should replace leblancs w.

made a post about it a while back. not only would it fit her lore like a glove, but it would remove her focus around ranged assassinations off mobility.

lets be honest, her w is bullshit. its one of the most broken abilities in the game and makes her take 0 risk in her assassination attempts. anyone can just w +q + w, rinse repeat and get fed by picking of low health targets like this. its a similar problem kassadin has whenever hes strong, and it always causes them to be gamebreaking when they have the numbers to back up this playstile.

i think commitment to an assassination should be one of the cornerstones of a healthy assassin. meaning if the assassination is successful, he gets to jump back out of danger. if its not successful, it should leave him in a vulnerable spot.

basically how Katarina shunpo is her only direct engage tool, and only resets if she actually kills her target. if she fails to do so, shes probably sitting in a really terrible spot without a way out.

currently Leblanc doesnt have to deal with consequences, if she cant blow her target up. as soon as anything doesnt go according to plan. a heal, a shield, or something else, she can immediately blink back out. add the additional distance due to her ranged kit from her target, and she ends up taking 0 risk, and gets too much reward.

i think having an assassin based around an effect like tricksters glass and actual deception to get in range of an enemy would be an interesting concept.
