Doran's Shield works before or after armor?

It's a flat reduction per hit, it has nothing to do with armor.

It does interact with armor though. There is a very slight reduction in damage if Doran's Shield comes into play after armor, compared to if it came into effect before.

I mean, if you hit with an AA and enemy with doran shield. You have 100 AD and you enemy 100 armor. You deals 42 damage or 46? Example, fizz's passive (is similar) and works after.

If you were meant to deal 100 damage, you would deal 92 damage. If you were meant to dealt 50 damage, you would deal 42 damage.

So I guess to answer you, it reduces after resistances are calculated. This is what makes Doran's and the other masteries so strong.
