Ranked Solo/Duo Evolution

So I know that LOL is a team game but when it comes to Solo/Duo mode for ranked it's obviously you stuck playing with a bunch of strangers with the goal of climbing the ladder... together?... no... climb individually or with a partner. Therefore, I think that in this mode alone if you do well despite your teams short comings (based off whatever scoring system of stats you deem fit or worthy) if you do well, if you lose you do not lose LP... possibly gain a smidge say if you got an S despite the loss or something. This would probably be a more honest assessment of a players skill and rank if people didn't constantly drag them down game after game for DC ing feeding etc (especially in the bronze pit of hell from which there is no escape... but there would be if this is implemented). Furthermore, surrendering should not be allowed at all in ranked mode if not unanimous... I am constantly outvoted when my game play is just fine... surrendering only promotes playing to win not to have fun and if the new ranked solo/duo goes the way I just said it should then surrendering may not be your best option to climb. Let me know if I'm nuts ... oh and thanks for giving credit everyone involved in turret damage that was a big one for me previously... rock on riot :)

Can agree with not leaving bronze, i was stuck in b4, made 2nd account got s5, promos for s3 atm, for real, if you get stuck in bronze ... just play a few games to the point where you get fed almost every game, and then just make another account, because ur not leaving that shit hole, you just cant, and not surrendering ? hell, to the fuck no, if my ADC is feeding like 0-8 15mins in, im not gonna even bother playing, i just cant be asked to, because ik ill just tilt, shit talk him, get chat restriction, and maybe a suspension, im good, thanks

I would love to agree with you, I honestly would, but I just can't. I'm a bronze player and I mean, it all comes down to yes, your individual skill but also playing around your team mates and all that mess. The reason they can't do that sort of implementation is because if EVERYONE on BOTH teams does well, either:

  1. No one incurs a loss of LP
  2. Someone who, even though they played exceptionally well for their position, will incur a loss of LP or else reason one would throw the game out of balance.

This would also mean that the crap fests that go on in bronze would benefit players playing the champions that no one knows how to counter in bronze (I.e. Tryndamere, Yasuo, Riven, etc etc.) because it's really easy to perform at least marginally well if no one knows how to face you; That in and of itself doesn't necessarily make you a good player.

I want to say, purely out of speculation, that SoloQ is a determining factor of your skill level and being able to adapt to drastically different situations and matchups, and also a huge factor in how well you are able to fit in with new groups of players; hence why they always talk about players being drafted for LCS from SoloQ and not flex.

My final note is, and I've been told this by my new gaming coach, playing well for yourself does not necessarily mean you're playing well for your team, and that is the major reason why people in low elo's tend to throw games accidentally, or even purposely in some cases.
