Sorry supports? I build this on almost every jungler. The only time I don't build this is when the enemy team has a champion that can go invisible.

Now I have to drop 150 gold every time I back if I want to track the enemy jungler >.>.

More like "sorry top and mid" any good support will have sightstone+sweeper. Tops really got screwed on this one as now they can't split push as well since they can't keep vision coverage alone. Although this is temporary so oh well, bugs happen and I'm sure it'll be fixed in a few days, if not during the patch tomorrow.

It's not bugs. It's SpaghettiCode™. The current bug is that if you bought and sold it a few times it would crash and completely delete the game, as if you never queued up.

I've been thinking lately, on support why not grab a Vision Totem instead of Sweeper? It gives more reliable stealth revealing AND vision. And you never have to buy pinks again.

Honestly it can work for sure but, sweeper just gives you a lot more clearing potential as you can clear basically an entire chunk of the map of wards where as a pink can only clear a single area. So I think, because you can buy pinks but you can't use the sweeper without the trinket, sweeper is better.

Yeah if you're support and you buy the stealth totem you aren't supporting right. Sightstone gives you the wards, but we cannot underestimate vision control such as denying vision. Yes the stealth totem in theory allows you to place almost as many wards as a sightstone but frees up an inventory spot. The problem is that you cannot deny the enemy vision which is just as big as getting your team vision. That's why you get sightstone and then sweeper (for vision denial) I could also see the vision totem being a possibility as it grants a pink ward which allows you to deny vision as well.
