How does this reason make any sense?

"The loss of crit chance on IE means if Yasuo wants to utilize his crit-doubling passive, _he has to rush a Zeal item—none of which come with AD. _We're giving him some early/midgame help so he's better able to make it through the process of building Phantom Dancer"

He always rushed a zeal item before this patch and they never gave any AD...

Did any Yasuos ever rush IE?

Yeah they kinda just completely screwed up the reasoning. They could've just said something like:

Yasuo's build path had it's cost increased by a ton of gold and the removal of +50% crit damage on IE on top of his already inherent lower crit damage put him in a bad spot.

How about

"Warwick's early dueling and clearspeed allows opponents few opportunities to fight him in the early-mid game, and also secures him a gold/experience advantage against most junglers. Dialing that back should help him feel more fair to play against, but he'll still be strong early."

The dude writing it had no idea what he was saying.

In essence, what they meant to get across is that since yasuo is designed around rushing crit items, he was hurt by both the gold increases, the change in buildpath of i.e, and the changes to i.e in general.

And because going double zeal is unviable due to his low base stats not giving him enough ad to make it worthwhile, yasuo is stuck building the same 2 items, except with a worse cost, and less benefits

How about the simple fact that Yasuo was shown such favoritism as to slip this minor buff in otherwise terse hotfixes. Or that crit was supposed to be nerfed... and hard nerfed all the champions who used it... which were NOT the strongest adcs (Kaisa ) anyway.

On the other hand, when Yasuo had a bug that allowed him to use aditional autoattacks during his ult: "It's not a serious bug; let's not touch him until the next patch despite his suspicious 2% increase in winrate".

There is clear favoritism when we talk about Yasuo. I almost find it hilarious at this point.

Well another problem is RiotBlaustoise is a Yasuo player. So they got preferential treatment. People can argue that wasn't the reason, but I think it was there. Yasuo needed nerfs, and they should be taking player ban rates into consideration, and rework his problematic kit. No one wants to deal with wind wall in their games. It's too much of a powerful tool when one team can sit behind a wind wall and take no damage.

A late game hypercarry is getting his ass butt kicked early game due to having his power spike delayed. He's still the same near-broken champ after getting his core items and is probably too strong compared to early game champs that abuse him before he gets his items - as early game champs are intended to do - so we're buffing yasuo to once again screw over early game champs for doing their job make scaling champs more competitive in lane while still getting to outscale and screw over early game champs as hard as we used to let early game champs screw over scaling ones in lane. Cuz nobody likes a lane bully being a bully in the laning phase - that's just unfair.

Just give this thing a rework already. Champions who either 100-0 you in 1 sec or die in the same amount of time without doing damage should not exist, period.

well i would not say rushing ie but he could rush before item 1038 , item 1037 or more imporatnly cloak of agility either before or after zeal and than finish the zealitem. With cloak and finished zealitem he would already have full crit. Instead of 800 Cloak he needs now to finish an 3700 ie for full crit. not the best reasoning with the ad thingy as theoreticaly he still can go one bf. But yea, probably the removal of cloak is a huge power loose. And ofcourse ie being far weaker as before on him (more critdmg>>>changing a part of dmg dealt into true).

I don't see how this hotfix was a problem. I dislike Yasuo just as much as anyone else but the item changes did hurt his build path. Yasuo is supposed to have a weak early lane (level 1-6) then start to pick up when he begins getting crit / AD (scaling ofc) but the new changes hurt this design.

item 3095 - this is the item you rush with yasuo. who the F*** rushes zeal items anymore? you dont need them when you're guaranteed a critical just by waiting for your Q to come off of cooldown?!?!item 3046 item 3031 +item 3095 grants you 200% critical damage and 15% of that is true damage. does no one read item descriptions anymore?

you get 60% critical chance by phantom dancer + IE's passive that is increased to 100% crit chance by not attacking regularly and the damage is increased to 200% by storm razors passive. then IE treats 15% of critical damage as true damage.
