My Opinions on Ekko (Calm Down People)

I said this when he was released on PBE and I'll say it again. He's not OP, on the strong side yes, but not OP. A lot of his power is stored in the ability to predict where the enemy will be. If he screws that up, he won't do nearly as well. That's good. That's proper balance. His normal burst combo isn't the strongest among the Assassins. With his ult being what it is, it can't easily be integrating into a standard Rotation of spells. Ekko can't faceroll all the buttons and expect to get a triple like Katarina. All he can guarantee really is E -> Q -> Passive Proc which does Ok damage. When the Ult hits something though, THAT'S where his Damage spikes. I mean the enemies can see when it's up, where it is and even have a slight chance to react, but God damn when it hits it hits hard. Are all those negatives enough to pull down that glorious 1.3 AP ratio? Maybe. Time will tell how people come to learn how to deal with Ekko.

I feel like people will overreact to what he can do. They'll look at his Kit and go "OMGERD LOOK HOW MUCH STUFF IS IN HERE". It's true there is a lot. The thing is that only certain parts can be used at certain times. If he's using his Ult to escape, he can't use it for damage and now it's on a 1.5min+ CD. If he uses his E to escape he can't use the second dash component unless he has something to dash too, which you don't normally in a lane. You can't guarantee both effect's from the W, you can't guarantee the second return from Q etc etc. There's a lot too him, but I honestly think he's not as bad as everyone is saying. It's the first day, give it time.

If any changes DO happen it will probably be to his base stats, the damage done by his passive or his Ult AP ratio.
