@Riot Reddit came up with a terrific way to buff Karthus

Sort of a baiting title, but none the less. Earlier today a man by the name of Maniglo (FULL CREDIT TO HIM) suggested this on reddit:

"If Karthus ultimate would ignore the "unkillable"-status he would be a nice counterpick for some of these champions. (Taric ,Kindred ,Tryn) It would also fit his theme."

The idea was derived from this reddit topic talking about the amount of champs that have low-health preservation ultimates (i.e Tahm, Kindred, Taric, etc etc). The idea is that Karthus would basically say "fuck you" and ignore these with his ult, meaning that his ult button would be able to kill anything even if invulnerable. In my opinion this sounds like a decent way to buff him at least until he can be looked at for a bigger set of changes.

EDIT: Oh, to clarify from the creator's idea, here's how it would interact with stuff like Zhonya: "Nah, only the "unkillable"-status not the untargetable or revive passive. So you can still buy zhonias and GA."

So only untargetable/revive effects/abilities, not GA or Zhonya.
