I feel like this patch was, overall, pretty good.

Sure, there are some champs that are too strong (Malzahar, Zed, Veigar) and a few are slipping into depression (Cassiopeia, Illaoi, Vlad), but overall it was an improvement.

item 3157 item 3001 granting CDR pretty much negated any problems mages had aquiring that stat. item 3152 item 3174 allows me to justify playing Sona to my solo queue teams. item 1416 is not nearly as toxic as devourer, and you can't just rush item 3124 anymore. Fiddlesticks IS A FUCKING VIABLE CHAMPION NOW. Mordekaiser mains are having a field day whenever games stretch to 35 minutes. Death timers are shorter, towers are actually made of concrete again, and rift herald is not a joke.

Did Riot fuck up a bit? Yes, definatley. However, enough is good about this patch that I can give it my seal of approval. Or would, if I had one. Have a happy pantheon instead. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

(now if we had solo queue, then this would be perfect)

I dunno. It's an okay patch.

Pros: Rift Herald No Maw/Steraks every game

Cons: Dragon (wind lol) Malzahar We haven't yet found the disgusting champ build yet. There in one every time we change items like this.

I still think the MYMU was an overall nerf for the majority of mages. The only mages that saw a net increase in win rate was Malz and Zyra. Brand's win rate increased by a minor amount, but nothing to bloat about. Even Veigar was sub 50% win rate for who knows why. Anivia sucks now. Vel, who was arguably the most balanced champ and NO ONE wanted changed, lost a ton of power and is now overly reliant on his passive proc + ult.

Abyssal change seems ok at first, but it lost a good bit for 10% CDR, but nothing to big. Zhonyas on the other hand seems like a garbage buy. It lost huge amounts of stat and its active was increased by 30 seconds. That means its going to be down far more often than before. Which seems completely opposite to Riot claiming it was a "defensive" item. RoA losing 400 HP and 100 mana on top of getting a useless passive for anyone other than Swain, Ryze, or Cho was a huge nerf.

New Fiddle passive helps him be more reliable than his old one, but he still has plenty of problems.

Also, for Riot claiming to hate RNG, adding these random dragon buffs seems like they are going in the exact wrong direction. There is a reason dodge was removed, adding RNG back is a terrible idea.

Undo the RoA and zhonyas changes, revert the Anivia and Vel changes, and make dragons non-RNG based somehow and then maybe this patch will be considered "good".
