With the upcoming changes to support-items i´ve lost complete interest playing that role alltogether

maybe a bit exaggerated, but it makes me fucking mad knowing that 50%+ of my off-builds will be erased, just because adcs started abusing relic-shield. I got really used to having those quest-rewards and they were imo a nice addition to the support role, but it seems like riot noticed they made some good changes for once and felt like they had to retrospectively fuck it up.

There is nothing to gain for supports from the removal of 5 (4 if you don´t count ruby as a separate item) items, 3 active, and 3 passives. We get 800g but that is hardly a compensation and even if it was it is still the laziest approach they could have taken, demonstrating how they are either unable or simply don´t care to give supports any meaningful tools.

And the argument that these changes are supposed to promote more build diversity is such a joke if anything they will decrease diversity because we will have simply fewer items than before, while those changes will have next to no effect on how we actually build since we only get 800g instead of fucking anything. The only thing these changes accomplish is that supports can rush the next best op-support-item-of-the-patch 800g earlier because that was so fun in the ardent-meta, when everyone was mindlessly rushing that one item no matter what.

I tried to stay positive but the last games i played just reminded me how much i´m going to lose for fucking nothing and how I will be reduced to build the same items in every game on most champs more than ever. (which a lot of people probably already did. to be fair not many upgraded into the active items since they weren´t gold efficient enough, but hey why adjust things if u can just remove them entirely. typical riot, they see a symptom and instead of curing the disease, they nuke the patient.

And if that is the direction riot wants to go then call me a jgl-main, because i won´t touch botlane after this patch.
