So apparently Yi mid counts for one of Ekko's counters

By 15 minutes into the game, I've killed Ekko 3 times and destroyed his tower.

Yes you can say their Jungler was AFK, but it was a Yi Jungle and I didn't receive ganks from Zac because I believe he was camping bot, so I can assure most of the fighting was 1v1s and both of us roaming bot once.

Apparently Ekko is squishy as fuck early game, so if you care to dodge his Q and engage on him, it could lead to an easy kill.

Its blind pick.. So their is not real data here. The skill setups are so bad that you can not use this as meaningful

Maybe, but Blind Pick certainly doesn't effect stat distributions.

Is still entirely true, and a champion with strongish dueling potential early game like Yi takes advantage of it hard.

Sure but you can certainly outplay the yi, if you understand what is going on. Yi is going to arrive at what ever minion he Q on (unless killed). The only way for yi to dodge is to use his Q which takes out half the threat. So you bait out the ti Q with your own and but first set up a W on the minions. If played properly Yi gets smashed.

The setup i just layed out is hard to pull off, if you can not read situations. At higher level of play it will be easier to pull this off. Considering the OP is S4 and playing a blind pick the enemy may not be able to plan a head enough for this. He could of been playing against a bronze to a plat(though i would be on a silver or lower). Blind pick unrank are usually less skilled than draft unranked players.

Again since the skill match up is so varied in blind the data is really useless. Hell it could of been a 3rd time Ekko player. Unless in ranked and against people that have plenty of games/ understanding of the champ, this one of has to be called pointless data.

Or you could just...

You know...

Sidestep.

Kinda hard to use Q and W together when you're still level 1.

I understand where you're coming from, really I do, I had to put up with Yi mid's stupid learning curve. Just please listen to me when I say I used to main mid lane assassins as a whole before. Basic sidestep jukes and cooldown tracking is literally hard wired into my sense of playing League (at least while I am mid anyway), and is generally key for winning trades with, say, Talon pre-6, so you really can't judge a champion's defenses through their kit alone. Outplaying Yi may be simple, but the key to Yi mid is reading telegraphs and negating them with the least amount of resources possible, so if you know what you're doing as a Yi player (I did, Assassin skills translate really well on him), a lot of the problems you pointed out can be compensated through player skill alone.

Its not that hard to side step..... If you won cause you were side stepping at level 1 your prove my point of unskilled ekko. With the low cost of q and the fact that both of you have to get into melee range, ekko should not of loss in the early game.

I am sry but everything you say just proves more and more that it was just low skilled players going at each other.

Low cost of...

You know it still has a cooldown too, right?

Let him fire, sidestep, let it retract, then fight? He won't have it to fight at all, he'll lose to Yi's double strike, which he did.

Even a low level player will pick up on the flask start. No dueling power early game at all on Ekko.

Not really sure this counts as any sort of proof, outside, you can win a 4v5.

You won in blind pick, against someone who is likely not a very good Ekko player, otherwise they'd be playing him in ranked by now, and their team was 4v5, which means he was probably on tilt or didn't care because...4v5.

I mean, the guy has 100 cs at 30 minutes. Doesn't look like he was really trying too hard.
