Can people stop mistaking "unbalanced" with "No longer has a viable counter"?
So yeah, as title.
So many champions who are currently OK in strength are just lacking the champions that used to counter them. I say unbalanced in the title because it swings both ways. Using an example I've used before (This is just ONE example and by using these champions I am not commenting on whether any of them are/aren't in need of buffs/nerfs before people start shouting! xD)
Historically Yasuo is countered by Malzahar, who is countered by Xerath, who is countered by Yasuo. Nice triangle right? xD
Now currently Malzahar doesn't counter Yasuo, so the triangle is kinda broken meaning Yasuo is uncontested (between these 3 champions, not all. Again no shouting xD)
This doesn't mean Xerath is unbalanced, or Yasuo is unbalanced, it just means because of the lack of counter to Yasuo the triangle has been broken.
Now obviously league is far more complex then this triangle (having 120 ish more champions will do that xD) but nevertheless the logic is still sound.
So many champions at the moment are not viable because the champions they COUNTER are not viable, and likewise so many champions that are currently "OP" are just lacking counters.
So rather then saying X champion is busted and need a nerf, or Y champion is currently not viable and therefore needs a buff, can you please first check who their counters are (both ways) and see if maybe THAT might be the problem instead?
Just saying...
