Higher elo players, advice needed!

Hey all. I'm looking to improve my rank, but I feel I don't understand the game as much as I should. I am one one trick Morde player(two trick if you can count Olaf), and will stay that way, as I know how to play Mord like the back of my hand(level 7 Huelord).

What I'd like some advice on are things like:

-How does one freeze lane and not lose cs? -What defines good positioning? -Where should I be placing wards?

I typically focus on farm, poke the enemy while doing so, and all in when they are low. I ward areas around me, but feel I should ward more to help survive when I get those 3-4 man ganks I get so often.

I typically get S when I play Mord, dominate in blind pick, but get focused down with crazy ganks in ranked. I feel if I had better understanding of good positioning, game mechanics, and where to put wards aside from the river brush, I could climb out of bronze.

Love to hear yalls advice!

check this site for current probuilds for your desired champion, its really great. What we can see for mordekaiser here is that gunblade is pretty damn good on him again because its the last spellvamp item in the game. The rylais liandries combo is pretty old but works ( I would only take that if you are behind or equal in lane, if ahead i wouldnt rush both items because it generally works as tank killer and not as allround build). My personal tip for low elo rankeds ( I smurf quiet a bit), take exhaust as toplaner, you will never need tp because your botlane is too bronze to ward deep enough to enable a tp play for you ( I mean they probably cant even spell teleport without making 20 mistakes lul) And what do you mean by freezing without losing cs? I mean you can just farm close to your tower and get every cs? Search wave control league of legends in youtube and youll find some answers I guess? Good positioning in lane comes from mapawareness ( where is the enemy jungler at all times? you know it? You dont die to him, simple). In teamfights as olaf or morde? Not hard, just run into squishies faces and if the enemy peels too much you peel for your squishies ( generally never try to get close to a vayne janna combo for example as morde its wasted effort). To climb in elo you need to improve your decisionmaking, seriously. Your mechanics can be shit but you can get gold with simple game knowledge, you should start searching for explaining league videos and read a lot of stuff about it and youll get better pretty fast ;) I hope that helps a bit! :D

I like to wait gor the minions to get low and last hit without using abilities early game, and try to get every one that I can. I'll poke with abilities, and continue last hitting creeps when shield is up, poke, and back off. Sure the lane isn't pushed as fast, but it still moves forward, and that's why I thought I was doing it wrong. Early game, I ward bushes around me, and pretty deep in the jungle. It's my super high cs score and wards that I think give me S, aside from my normally decent cs.

I'm not a high elo player, but I've watched my fair share of LCS over the years.

1.) You freeze lane by literally just waiting for cs to go low on health by the opposing team's cs. I know that maybe confusing. You use abilities when you have to to obtain cs, but for the most part you just wait for the health to drain naturally. That's the best way I can describe it from my own understanding.

2.) Good positioning is taking the least amount of damage that you can while dishing out the most. Champions have different roles. So it is wise to position yourselves accordingly with your teammates as well. In lower elo people don't think of that, as well as the fact they don' really value their teammates. That's different in higher elo.

3.) As the line moves up or down, determines the height at which you place your wards. If your team got three of their outer turrets, you and your team can put offensive wards in their jungle. Opposite on the other end. If you win a team fight I usually sweep and place wards deep in their jungle to see their jungle path. (I main support)

My understanding at least, and it could be very bad.
