The reason a lot of these don't get played is bottled into what I'd say is 3 reasons.

  1. You may overlap too much. IE you have all melee, too much AP, etc. The reason you see the team mage, support, ad, brusier, tank, with a variety on that main group is because it offers the team the widest spread of type damage and stats to the game. It's very important to get good mixes of damage or you get 5 ads into a rammus armor stack kind of shit.
  2. Nothing scales like an AD. Let's be real, crit adcs are just needed for late game. They take objectives and when an ad can auto 3 times and kill anyone, it's pretty much needed. and finally
  3. some just wouldn't make it. Take for example GP. Sure he is strong and can be big, but he can't push towers, the main way to win, he loses his lane hard into poke, and he just can't do anything early to 2 people harassing and engaging on him. Many others suffer the same issues. It comes back to the variety a team needs. Mages are the most viable but still suffer.
