Why Make a Thread asking Rito to Nerf a Champ?
WHen instead you could make a thread asking players how to beat a champ?
WHen instead you could make a thread asking players how to beat a champ?
I love how this was downvoted, despite it being true
No one is gonna convince riot to nerf a champ, they look at numbers/data not boards posts. All you can do is ask how to beat a champ until they are nerfed
Edit: Also, if you do post a thread about a champion's power level, don't go "this champ is so weak please buff" or "this champ is too op plz nerf rito". Those posts don't provide any information at all. Talk about their strengths and weaknesses and how they fit into the meta, make it an open topic to be discussed and not "Hey I'm an individual who wants this champion buffed/nerfed, do something about it Riot"
[deleted]
Well it depends on the champ you are playing, doesn't it? Or would you rather whine?
[deleted]
Does every champion play the exact same way no matter who they are up against?
[deleted]
So you are upset that some champions need to adapt their playstyle to the situation while others do not?
[deleted]
Such as?
[deleted]
Do you have an argument to back this up aside from FotM?
[deleted]
I'd argue that many cchamps who were FotM weren't OP. Many times the nerf is 40 dmg off the highest ranks of their spell or some weaksauce shit like that.
40 dmg does not make a spell w/ a 8 seccond CD broken. Do the math.
40 dmg don't mean shit, you can literally do the math right now and see how mucch shit it don't mean.
Also, do the math on a .1 ratio difference. There is a good reason ratios are a harder nerf than flat dmg (usually)
Even the most op champs have counterplay/counterpicks my friend
[deleted]
I think you misread something, I'm pointing out that no matter what op champion we are talking about there are tips to beat them. Never said anything about it being ok their op, but op =/= invincible (unless we're talking about release Jax)

And with this post, all the boards and everyone on it become irrelevant. Log off guys, there's obviously no point in us posting.
How did you turn my post from: "Posts complaining about op champs aren't going to work" To: "Just don't post at all"
How about the boards start producing more intellectual and constructive posts and not "This champ is op please nerf". Start posting threads people can talk about and not people will agree about because that's what the boards is right now. You can't actually post a conversation-starting thread without being downvoted, even if it doesn't have an opinion. All the boards are now is just a bunch of players posting complaints in an attempt to see how many others agree with them.
Some people just love to jump the shark.

Because that's what your post said.
Alright, not gonna deal with your troll right now lol. I literally just explained how my post wasn't saying what you translated it into

It's not a troll post, this is the gameplay and balance forum. You said it's pointless to post about champion balancing. Thus, this forum is completely irrelevant.
Of course, your post was stupid and you've realised that, and you're trying to defend your stupid post by explaining it in a different light to what you initially intended.
Everything about my original post is true, no QQ thread is going to convince a Rioter to nerf a champion. Those posts are just fillers to vent rage and gather others around hating a champ. I've explained several times now (and even edited my original post shortly after I first posted it) to explain how a thread talking about balance/gameplay should be.
Just because I say a specific type of post that is common in this forum isn't helpful or useful doesn't mean the entire forum is useless. You're trying to broaden what I said into and entire forum when I really only targetted a specific kind of post. I'll even say what I said again in case you still don't understand:
"This champ is so op/weak plz nerf/buff Rito" posts are useless and don't belong anywhere. They have no influence on Riot decision making whatsoever when it comes to champ balance. If you were to make a post about it, the way to make it relevant and a healthy thread is to make it open to conversation. Use evidence/talk about how they fit in the meta and what changes could be made. Explain why you feel they are where they are in the power scale and allow others to talk about it. Make it a real post
He does have a point though. You said rito isn't going to consider your post, they are just going to look at numbers. So saying that rito isn't going to look at any game play balance posts is pretty much saying there's no point in posting.
Not at all, I said random qq "rito plez nerf this champ" threads are ignored by Riot. To think that every single post in the gameplay section is a "rito plz nerf" thread simply isn't true. Now, if you actually explain youself and keep it from a rage thread, then it'll have a better impact beyond it being another useless rage thread.
Gameplay goes beyond simple champion balancing
No one is gonna convince riot to nerf a champ, they look at numbers/data not boards posts. All you can do is ask how to beat a champ until they are nerfed
This is exactly what you said. You then later edited the post to say IF you are going to make a post, don't make a qq post.
Mhm, because qq posts aren't productive and only serve to obtain upvotes from people who also feel hate towards a champ. A productive, conversational, debate-orientated thread provides an opening to actually discuss changes to the champion and why we think they deserve it. It talks about the gameplay. What is "Rito plz nerf this champ omg" going to accomplish?
I edited my post the same day I posted it too
I never said a qq post is jsutified at all. I merely pointed out that you said "No one is gonna convince riot to nerf a champ, they look at numbers/data not boards posts. All you can do is ask how to beat a champ until they are nerfed"
This is not specific to qq threads, as you included all in your comment. What part are you not understanding?
I see the misunderstanding. My edit was made shortly after my op, meaning my conversation with JXG took place after the edit. I realized how my post could be misinterpreted and made the edit (but I showed it was an edit because the first parts of that first conversation had already started) to clarify just what kind of Champion Balance threads I was talking about.
This entire conversation has been about something I clarified before any of this
There isn't when it comes to Big balance changes. They don't listen to the type of person who comes to the boards and makes shitpost when ever they lose to a champion.
They come to the boards to rename Darius passive and make Veigar's ult size scale with ap. Little shit like that the boards can't really screw up.
The first implies that the champion is broken.
The second implies that the player complaining has to improve.
Considering their ego, it should be pretty obvious which they chose.
How do you beat Ekko?
Simple Bend Over and submit.
Who are you playing against the Ekko?
[deleted]
So then why complain about him if you never play against him?
[deleted]
Have you ever considered...
Now hear me out...
That these champs you are claiming to be overpowered...
Aren't overpowered?
[deleted]
Or certain champions have playstyles that players aren't used to, and so are losing to them and complaining on the boards instead of thinking about it.
[deleted]
Ekko's biggest weakness is literally being familiar w/ his style.
He can't hit you w/ shit if you are familiar w/ his style.
Look at his kit.
[deleted]
Have you ever laned against him? He relies on his magic ccirccle for the shield early on and needs to hit you with THINK FAST.
And late game his dmg falls off hardccore and his long term chasing/diving is pretty wonky.
[deleted]
And you just need to walk away to let his shield burn out.
Also you need to do math on those dmgs. I'm not sure how much he can win a slap fight w/ someone unless he lands the disk. Other people have spells and such too, you know.
Mobility means nothing if you can't do anything w/ it. Tank Ekko scales terribly unless he builds some hardcore AP in the late game. He has wonky chase and doesn't give much to a teamfight aside from raw dmg unless he catches them in his really difficcult to land stun.

Who are you playing?
