Don't touch the minions newbie. Your spellthief item gives you gold for damaging towers and enemy champions. In general if you don't have any tier of the relic shield do not bother ever touching the minions during laning phase. Only time it is acceptable is if you're pushed under tower and you know how to control the waves so your adc can last hit. Please and thank you, sincerely anyone who plays adc and is losing farm because of their support.

All the points you have made are true. But in the cases where my support touches the minions they hit the ones that are getting auto'd by our minions and the timing is always messed up making me miss my minions. Nothing I can do about that. Karma using her skills on minions, Zyra using it on minions, Zilean using it on minions... riperino. I especially hate when Zilean is intentionally trolling and messing up minion wave after minion wave.
Of course in ranked supports don't usually do this. Probably like 20% of games. But, playing on my smurf, you would not believe the stupidity of these people who called support in champ select. I nicely tell them "Plz do no touch minions" after they use their skills on them instead of the enemy champs. 20 minutes into game, no sightstone from our support.

I had a Fiddlesticks support the other night who kept taking 2-3 cs every time he casted his silence (Q I think, Ive never played him). Even he apologized several times cuz it was so bad, lolz.

But for the sake of discussion, let me just say that a mage support would be a very good decision if you have multiple champions that are able to engage the enemy team in fights. In terms of actually touching the minions, an auto-attack to the caster minions is all I do.

You do realize there's no Riot supported rule that says the support has to stay with the adc, right? Like, they can't outright throw the game against the team's wishes, but if an adc rags on a support too much a few teams have been willing to let the support go on roam.
Might want to watch the attitude, or switch to a solo lane. Supports aren't ward bots, and if they "steal" a minion, it's not the end of the world.
