Attack Speed + Tankiness

Just as a question, why is there almost nothing in the finished-item path that gives both of these qualities?

item 3078 is moderate at best - it's gold-inefficient if you're manaless, and it's literally the only thing that gives baseline tankiness as well as attack speed.

item 3091 is literally the only other finished item that gives any kind of attack speed plus durability at all, but it's almost entirely situational now due to the MR aspect of it.

Is this a deliberate design decision - there will be no attack speed plus substantial health/armor on a finished item for a reason? Or just an omission?

I'd love to see items like:

SHURIMAN LOST ARMOR:

item 3101 + item 3082 + item 1028 + 700 gold

+40% attack speed +45 armor +300 health +10% cooldown reduction

Unique passive: Cold Steel - When hit by basic attacks, reduce attacker's attack speed by 15% for 1 second. Unique passive: Every time you hit an opponent with an ability, gain 5 armor and 1% cooldown reduction for 5 seconds.

Or:

DEMACIAN GREATBOW:

item 1043 + item 3044 + item 1028 + 800 gold

+50% attack speed +300 health +30 attack damage

Unique passive: Basic attacks heal you for 1% of your champion's maximum health.

Or:

HILT-ARMORED RAPIER

item 3101 + item 1031 + 600 gold

+40% attack speed +55 armor

Unique passive: Every third basic attack pierces the target, dealing an extra 100% base AD. Unique passive: Every time you hit an enemy champion with a basic attack, steal 1% of their armor for up to 5 seconds.

If these stats are too gold-inefficient or gold-efficient, I apologize - might need some analysis as far as gold costs goes, it's all off the top of my head - but it does seem frustrating that you can't build a finished item that can stack attack speed and health.

I can see that it may be impossible to do this because it would break LeeSin and Darius and Nasus, but there are other champs like Aatrox and Nunu who are in a bad place and would certainly benefit.

Generally if you're looking for a mix of damage and durability it makes sense to get 1-2 damage items, then a beef item or two before even thinking about more damage.

Who are you trying to build? Most durable chanpions have better ways to scale their damage than attackspeed, and even wit's end feels like overkill sometimes.

Probably because people would complain about the lack of counterplay like babies

Or if you jave a spare seco dary rune you can take precision and legend alacrity instead? Also, doesn't Maokai already have enough attack speed to work with without buying more attack speed? Oh but yeah, your idea's seem really nice. Especially Demacian Greatbow. Although Phage's passive on it can be very beneficial...

Because I'd rush those items every game on Taric and Shen
