Leblanc's Tether Range Is Completely Unreasonable

Leblanc's tether range on Ethereal Chains is far too long in my opinion. Even champions like Shaco with mobility spells have a hard time getting out of its range, as you can in the picture I'm a distance of about 3 summoner 4 's away from her and its still not broken. Even when she's not close to you most of the time flash isn't enough to get you out of range.

A few days ago I was playing Twitch adc and I saw her coming because we had the tribush warded so I went under my turret. I should be safe right? No, she almost 1 shot me under my turret at lvl 6 with 0/0/1 kda and just item 3108 item 3114 item 1056 item 1056 item 1001 for items and didn't take a single turret shot. If I hadn't healed she would have 1 shot me, I get that Twitch is a squishy champion but thats just stupid and literally has no counterplay. Not fed at all, not farmed as far as items go, but can still almost 1 shot an adc under turret at lvl 6.

So I ask How is it fair for a hypermobile champion with insane burst like Leblanc to have an almost inescapable form of cc? Why can Leblanc an extremely safe assassin because of her mobility and an extremely dangerous assassin because of her burst, at the same time cc someone while being nowhere near them?

The reason is to prevent sudden contacts and breaks. Basically, they don't want your chain hitting and then suddenly breaking because the enemy moved a little farther from you. This gives some leeway for LeBlanc, and requires the victim to use some sort of mobility to break it. Now, if she tethers you melee range, yeah it may be difficult to get away, but if it hits you at mid or max, you can typically flash or shadow or riftwalk or dash or jump out of it.

It's also got a small hitbox, and it's kind of a slow skillshot that only hits the first thing.

Do you know who Karma is? As soon as she tethers you all you have to do is jiggle your mouse and it will break. Who cares if it's point-click? I would rather hit a skill shot and make sure my spell wont fizzle out.

Well Karma has CC to keep you slowed so you can't simply jiggle your mouse. It's also point and click, so naturally it's worse. It also does DOT, and not separated into two instances. This can be both good and bad in that breaking it in the last second will deal most of the spell's damage to you, unlike LB where you lose half. However, breaking it VERY early will deal less than half of the spell's damage, while LB will still deal half. It's all a different distribution of power.

Also...Karma's tether range is 1000 and the cast range is 650...I just looked it up. LB's is a skill shot so it has a 950 range and a tether of 1000. So actually...LB's is more jiggle and break than Karma's....

Karma has to land her Q for that CC. Leblanc's E has a built in slow if you land the tether. You're basically telling me Leblanc gets to do with one spell what Karma does with two.

Also you're saying because Leblanc has a 950 range that she has a higher chance of the enemy walking out. That's only if you hit it at max range. Generally it's cast with her Q or R(q). Which is a 700 range. So assuming you landed your combo, it's about the same as Karma. But Karma has to land a second spell to keep you in range.

Karma's also takes 0.5 seconds longer to snare.

Leblanc's tether is far superior to Karma's in every way but the fact that Karma's is targeted.

Not that I'm really on either side of this argument. Leblanc needs changes. But numbers is not the real fix. She needs a way to be punished for being too aggressive in lane.

The OP's picture to me looks like two flashes worth of distance. That's 800-900 range. Which fits within the tethers cut off.

Well Karma doesn't need to land her Q lol, she can just walk after you. It's what she pays for having it a point click. Also, it's different champion design. LeBlanc is an assassin and has more killing power loaded into her kit, while karma has far more utility built into hers. Karma's tether can heal herself. It' just a different distribution of power. Karma can also melee tether you and you'll find yourself in the same predicament that you are with melee LB. Karma has the potential to sustain with her tether, LB has the potential to double snare you. It just shows how they're designed differently. If Karma's tether was as painful as LB's, then LB would need some more utility elsewhere. All she's got is some mobility off of a dash (or two), and Karma has a speed up which can turn into a team speed up. They're just champions built for different roles.

LB needs to be aggressive in lane because she falls off late game, meaning if he goes even in lane, she's behind. It's the design of all late game falling off lane bullies. Or what they're supposed to be.
