Give us a portion of the remainder of that LP based on how well we do in promos. If we win 2 promos without a loss, 75-100 percent of it. If we only have 1 loss, give us 50-75 percent of that LP.

Example: Im at 97 LP. I win a game that gives me 19 LP. If I complete my promos with no losses, maybe I move to the next division starting at 16 LP. If I suffer 1 loss, then 8 LP.

Being anywhere more than 95 LP and needing 1 more win to get promos fucking sucks. That LP just vanishes completely. It feels awful and there't no real justification for it IMO.

This would only be fair considering how the opposite scenario works:

I was at 13 LP Gold 3, lost 15 LP, got demoted to Gold 4 75 LP for a net result of -38 LP. For a single loss. With positive MMR (+21/-15)...

Edit: A tip for you OP, about posting this kind of stuff on the boards. I've noticed that well-thought out posts with lots of math get bunches of downvotes. I would recommend wording it more along the lines of "You should get the extra LP from getting to promos if you win" much easier for people to misunderstand, they love that kinda stuff.

Been posting this alot since this is how heroes of the Storm is in ranked . But not league cause why make ranked more fun and fair
