When can the gameplay double standards stop?

So why does brands passive count as a spell, but twitches doesn't? So brand can have spell theifs edge and that new keystone mastery by procing his passive, but twitch can't?

Before we nerf or buff a champion, next time can we atleast normalize their abilities to be consistent with other similar abilities?

I'm also still waiting for an answer to why twitches ultimate was reduced in power. It removed ulti back dooring towers, and twitches ability to reposition while he had a few more seconds on it. Kogmaw's unique identity was to be the immobile adc, why are we forcing Twitch to be less mobile during his ulti. Which if it is because you added more crit to the game, news flash, people like me already built 100% crit.

While I'm ranting why did we remove damage and attack speed from adc builds, and instead add crit to everything? I honestly think that this game had more viable and varying build paths before preseason started. All adc's now are pigeonholed into building hurricane, (except for maybe urgot) and phantom dancer having 12% damage reduction allows adc's and bruisers the ability to almost always 1v1.

Not to mention one of the main guys (urgot) that should be abusing phantom dancers damage reduction doesn't even utilize the item well.

While I'm on the topic of double standards, why did we nerfing the keystone mastery that gives 15% healing on crits for all classes? If we are going to have double standards, why not just nerf it for melee, since the abusers all noted were melee?

/end

  1. Brand deals magic damage with his passive and Twitch deals true damage.
  2. Brand's passive procs on spells and Twitch's procs on auto attacks.

That's why Brand can proc Liandry's and Twitch can't.

Twitches W isn't a spell that applies poison? Because, you sure could have fooled me.

It costs mana, and has a cast time, must not be a spell if you say so though.

Twitch's W doesn't actually do damage. It applies an AOE slow and passive stacks.

The whole thing you ignored is the true damage. Twitch deals true damage, its kinda hard to combine that with other effects is it not?

Read above, as mentioned it already applies spell vamp.

Explain why azir cant proc the mastery with his auto attacks, that's the real double standard. His autos are spell hits and proc torment and spell vamp, but don't proc dft or thunderlord.

As a side note, i found an easy way to spot bullsshit guides for azir, if they suggest that the autos proc than they're talking bullsshit. Q/e/r proc them, but not the spell hit autos.

The double standards continue, the worst part is that they don't/refuse to explain why similar spells don't function in the same manner.

Cuz there's just too many damn champs to catch em all.

I think this has to do with true damage not interacting with ANYTHING in league, it's basically neutral damage. doesn't get lowed, doesn't get amplified, doesn't proc anything.

False true damage procs spell vamp. (Yes I'm talking about smite, and olaf's reckless swing)

then all i can say is that riot's coding is a mess.

It has been a mess since they released it, but the problem is, people down vote without first understanding the problem, and then a thread can't gain Riot's attention.

Just like it took them 4 seasons to allow Twitches ultimate to hit nexus and inhibitors, and it still doesn't hit inhibitors if you are at max range with twitch's ulti. (even though it shows you have it targeted, and it auto paths you into range)

Wrong. The only thing true damage does not interact with are damage amplification/damage reduction. In regards to Spellvamp, Rylai's, stuff like that, the functionality of the underlying ability dictates the interaction.

For example, Cho's Feast deals true damage, but applies Spellvamp, Rylai's and Deathfire Touch like a single-target ability. Wiki.

Exactly, that is why I don't know why people are down voting the truth. This is just like the thread where people were trying to tell me that alistars ulti reduced true damage, and then down voted me when I told them it didn't.

I'm also not sure if this is still in the game coding, I should really test it, but at one time poppy's Q could crit but apply fully as magic damage. Which brings me to another point. Titanic hydra doesn't all ways apply on Morde's Q, even though it is just an "auto attack enhancer" If his third hit doesn't do any physical damage it doesn't proc titanic hydra.

  1. Riot doesn't really care about Twitch at all
  2. It could also be that Twitch's passive only does up to 6 true dmg/sec, which really isn't a lot at all
