Does anyone else think Nasus would be a better champion if..

He had a new passive? His 'free' lifesteal is just a huge amount of 'gold' value that I think could be made better.

He probably should scale better against armor. Someone suggested making his E percent armor shred

That would be too OP since the armor reduction helps your allies too. Giving your entire team % shred is huge

Well, Juggernauts need in-combat sustain (side-note: that's actually one of the main reason why Garen is so weak). Life-steal is just a simple way to give Nasus some in-combat sustain that is also tied to his skills (he heals for more if he stacked his Q well). You can rework his passive all you want and make it more fancy, but ultimately it has to give him in-combat sustain.

Ok let's look at this from an early game stand point. Nasus has a terrible early game that is only made bearable due to him being able to ignore champions, farm and sustain off minions. If you remove his LS you will have to buff his early game which means change probably his Q, W,E b/c he will no longer be able to lane vs any champion with any kind of poke or early trading power if he can not sustain back up.

What Nasus needs is for his armor pen to be % armor pen. Darius and Garen both get a whopping 25% on their regular abilities and have synergy with BC, which btw let's all their team take benefit from their armor shredded targets. Giving Nasus 25% on his E would make him a far more effective front liner and less oppressive vs squishy targets.

I agree. I think if Nasus didn't have a HUGE gold amount in his passive he'd have more room for improvements elsewhere. Q could just give him sustain for example, or maybe it only gives him sustain off targets in his E. There is just a lot of room in his kit if we get rid of that lifesteal.
