I've long held the opinion that "Riot are professionals. They make a living off balancing the game.

They probably know more than I do about video games, because it's their job. I should trust their balance, even if I don't understand it."

But honestly, through all Riot's victories and fumbles, nothing has shaken my faith in them as much as 6.23.

You incorrectly assume that Riot's desired goal is a perfectly balanced game.

An ideal to be strived for, and never achieved. It's pretty obvious, however, that Riot is no longer striving for it. They're throwing wet spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks.

A lot of things are generally impossible to exist, yet humans try to make it exist anyways. In the case of games being balanced, that is rarely what developers aim for. There's no reason for them to have a game even close to balance, and the fact Riot pretty much changes the game entirely at random times to break everything should have been proof enough they don't care for actual balance, along with the fact they'll buff champions at or above 50% win rates just because they aren't popular enough.
