Varus AA with tear stack

So a while ago i remember tear stacking on Varus and because I loved the caster build on him I did it. Recently I went to play Varus and it took almost 35 minutes to fully stack the year. I was wondering if they removed the stacking oh his AA. Anyone know?

You must upgrade the item to stack with attacks.
