Why do you ban Fiora (Poll inside)

I'm interested in knowing how everyone feels about the new Fiora. I personally don't think she is pick/ban worthy anymore although she is really strong still. But how do you guys feel about playing as an against her? Is she more fun to be against than she was before? Is she more fun to play than she was before?

I'm kind of interested to hear why people ban her. Is it because she is considered OP, not fun to play against, or both?

I don't really plan on this getting a lot of up votes just interested in what a few people might think. Feel free to leave a comment to explain what you think!

it's not just that. at levels 1-5, unless youre a select few champions, if she hits your vital you have 2 choices: 1) flash away 2) die. you will not outrade her if she manages to hit your vital. you will not outrun her. you will not stun her.

Considering Nasus, Udyr and Teemo are my top lane picks, I guess you could say I ban her because I play outdated champions that have no chance against her.

Really? I actually consider Nasus and Udyr strong match ups against Fiora.

Rush item 3110 item 3078 on Nasus and try to avoid fighting her until level 4+ Don't be afraid to hit her with a Q as you will start out trading her when she goes to poke a vital.

Her unnecessary, game-ending heal?

Yeah, that CAN be mitigated, it rarely is if it's not me or the duo. I do not ban Fiora anymore as well, instructing my team to either out maneuver her or if they can't, simply to run away from the fight far enough to make her heal largely unavailable for the teamfight (and if she chases, good, 4v4 + no heal).

But I still think she's a solid ban for that reason so I don't complain about it when it happens. You never can trust or predict anything less than a 5-man team, so telling your team to back-off during her ult generally doesn't happen (it's so fun to watch her and janna ult the enemy team to a two-second invincibility)

Yeah I still really don't like the heal. Yeah it makes her viable but I don't think that should be a reason to give a champion a spell.

It's not just her though. All of the champions they reworked about the time of the Juggernaut patch all have buffed heals or an added heal. Darius, Garen, Fiora, Gangplank... I think Skarner is the only one who didn't get a heal (or a buffed heal). A hyper damage super tank (Darius) doesn't need a heal. I guess Fiora is now considered a fighter instead of an assassin, but does she really need a heal considering how quickly she decimates foes? Or even just.. why is her heal better than Janna's? Even if she doesn't happen to parry ignite (which just shouldn't happen), she has a chance to just completely mitigate its effects with her heal.

Anyway, it's not really me complaining about Fiora, because like I said, I really don't have an issue with her unless it's an experienced main, I just don't understand the decisions the balance team is making with throwing heals at everyone.

the last time i played fiora, 3 of my 4 kills with ult didn't activate the heal, and the same happened the other time before that... i seem to be quite... unlucky XD

I really, really, REALLY hate her ult. Say I am nasus, got about 400 stacks, and I am dueling a trynd or jax or yasuo or even zed. If they ult, I can still fight them or at least hold my own. If fiora ults, suddenly I have to try and haul ass away from her because she will do more %true damage than vayne, and if I miraculously survive the asinine amount of damage she will deal with it, then I still cant fight her because of the huge ass heal she gets as well. Don't even get me started on cc tanks like sion and naut, and how much fun it is to play against a fiora with one of them. I guess at the end of the day, I would be alright with fiora, if her ult didnt do true damage. Make it magic, make it physical, but give us some god damn way of fighting her that doesn't involve not getting anywhere near her.

If you are Nasus and you know the enemy is going Fiora. Take summoner 12 summoner 3 for summoner spells. And rush item 3110 and then get item 3078 . If she ults you just whither her and walk away making sure to turn and hit her with your Q when ever it is off CD. If she starts blocking your Q with riposte cancel the auto and she will waste her riposte on nothing. Once she chases you all the way up lane her ult will run out and now its your turn to chase. Just keep hitting her with Q and she will die pretty easily.

Be careful pre level 4 and before you finish frozen heart as she is still a threat before that. Always kite away from her ult while trying to maintain Q damage on her. And the very hardest part is some how managing to have a bigger impact than her in team fights because while you should be able to 1v1 her after you get 2 items easily. She will be a large threat in team fights. This is where you need to make sure the whither or exhaust her to prevent her chasing who ever she ulted. If you are still having issues get item 3140 4th or 5th item maybe even sooner and just remove the ult.

If i get exhaust then im gonna flail about in team fights, assuming that the enemy have a team comp I can fight into. (if you see a lulu or janna, abandon all hope.)

Edit: This does not change my point that she is completely unapproachable by the target she ults. I used nasus as an example merely because I play him, but from garen to darius to morde to vayne, once fiora finds her R key they all have to haul ass out of there or get shafted.

I was just giving some general advice on what I do when the enemy team manages to get Fiora. It seems to work fairly well for me. With exhaust and triforce its pretty easy to catch up to most people in team fights but Fioras heal can be pretty unmanageable even when you do your best. If you take teleport exhaust you really don't miss out on much though. Flash on nasus really isn't that necessary, at least in my experience.

I am going to list the champs I named again and I want you to tell me if you will always, without fail have to run away from them when they press R so you don't get blown to hell. Yasuo, Jax, Trynd, Darius, Garen, Morde. The only two champs I see where they use their ult in combat and you automatically have to back off because of it is Morde (maybe) and Darius, assuming bloodrage. A malphite does not give two shits if trynd presses R in a fight because he has the durability to fight him during that time. Same for Jax, same for Yasuo. At the very least even if the Malphite cannot kill them in a 1v1 duel, it will take a few years in order for them to kill him. Fiora's Ult is in a whole different ballpark. She can kill the malphite with just three items assuming she hits her vitals. Just three and it doesnt matter if the malphite stacked thornmails or warmogs because fiora's kit does not give a damn. That is my problem with her, that is why I hate her so much.

if you take exhaust TP you'll be 0-10 in lane because you have zero escapes while tankiness is useless against Fiora's %HP true damage.

Tbh, I find it more worrying that you seem to be implying that Zed is a bigger threat to Nasus than Tryndamere, Jax, or Yasuo. All three of these champions save maybe Yasuo would maul Zed 1v1, and are far better equipped to fight a tanky motherfucker like Nasus than Zed.

With Fiora though, you can actually remove her ult with a QSS. Weird, right?
