We have AP and armor, AP and mr, AD and mr, but no AD and armor. Not sure why, and it leaves more damage centered bruisers a lack of choice for item builds other than building a full defense armor item later in builds. Maybe an item similar to Maw could be added? Thoughts?

well and AP have the right to build AP/AD AP/MR items. I mean if you build it too its pretty OP if you're facing an another AP champ in lane. why don't ad champs have the right to do that.

And the AP/MR items aren't that good...at all. Hence why they're rarely built. Wouldn't be worth it to have a shitty stat AD/Armor item.

Athene is a classic first buy in AP vs AP lane, for those that cannot use RoA well.

I'm not sure what else you could ask for as a bruiser? Nor did I say, "too strong", so I'm not sure why you're mentioning that.

DeathBurst1 votesThis. If you want just a bit of tankyness in an offensive item, HP are good. If you really want armor, make a full defense item. If you don't want to make a full defense item at all, go for lifesteal, not tankyness.
There are AP/Resistance items because APCarries need them. ADC just build lifesteal, and AD bruisers can effectively use full defense items.
