5 Reasons why Silver is the true elo hell

Silver is where Riot throws the newly lvl 30 players into their first ranked games.
Silver is where also boosters can lvl up a fresh lvl 30 accounts to the infamous gold.
Silver is where most of the playerbase sits so climbing is the hardest then any other elo since you have boosters and/or fresh lvl 30 noobs
You almost never get a fair game where each team has similar skill lvl (due to points stated above), its almost always stomp games.
Matchmaking is at its worst here, In games you get carried its most probably a booster which is pretty common here but the matchmaking wanted you to lose that game so you can bet next game you will be placed with bronze 3 players in your team against 5 silver 1-2 players....yes matchmaking in silver can go that low in order for you to lose.

And well those are my reasons why silver is the TRUE elo hell, no other division compares to the hell we silvers suffer.

I have played from Bronze 2 to Diamond 2 and i can tell you, the true elo hell is high Plat/low Diamond. Games in this place are literally coinflips over and over.

Actually worse than anything I ever witnessed from Bronze to Gold.

This is what i think about every time i see these posts. Like these guys rly think its hard to win games against people who miss all their skillshots and cant attack move. Wait till they have games with a d4 just giving a half assed effort to prevent decaying, vs a master smurf ranking up another account, and just eats them while playing the macro perfect.

But theyll never have that prob cuz they to focused on their teams to climb out of silver.

I am mostly a gold player and I am accidentally breezing through silver on another account while duoing with a bronze.

You are doing something monumentally wrong to be trapped in Silver. You can get out of silver with terrible mechanics while on locked screen.

In this season it is in every elo like this, but in lower elos the games take even longer so you can have chances to come back.

Hello, Bronze scrub here.

I will agree to this thread 100%, when I began my placements this season I got placed with mostly Silvers and a handful Golds. I don't think I saw a Bronze or Iron player in my placement games at all, it actually made me super optimistic. I ended up going 50/50 iirc, and got placed in Bronze II and then fell to Bronze IV...

Not saying I don't deserve to be here: all too often I try to force plays where there is none, either because other lanes are losing or because I just plain get impatient... i need to work on that. My point is, that a bunch of Gold and a ton of Silver players had to play with me on my way down. Which sucks for them.

Thought this was gonna be a toxic vent but being silver myself this is very true. Often if the enemy team stomps you can get a good score but are unable to carry and when ur teams winning it's impossible to get good kp as it's just a smurf 1v9ing the game so it just feels dull.

Although you have some good points, every ELO you're stuck in is ELO hell.

Each ELO has its own mistakes and ways to be exploited. If you're not maximizing that, you may struggle but it is very possible to climb out with the reight mindset and strategy. Even when I was a Gold level player, I could usually climb out of Silver on new accounts with ~65%+ win rate. I agree that there are a lot of stomp games (partly match making, partly the meta, partly players exploiting mistakes better than in the past) but if you play well, you should find yourself being the one stomping much more often than not.
